QUOTE(blackJax @ Nov 2 2012, 11:21 AM) hi, would like to ask. is it possible to advance timing by adjusting some degree of TDC sensor? if possible, at what direction to front or back of the car? The placement of the TDC sensor is fixed. I don't think you can change it.The ignition timing is controlled by computer. So need to reprogram the ECU. |

Hehe check the engine mounting first. your engine might be leaning back or forth due to the worn out mountings. Dear Savvy members! I'll be moving towards a new ride! Forte 1.6SX most probably. Are there any cars where the ride and pleasure will be as enjoyable as savvy? Have considered Fiesta as well but for someone at my size |

Haha too late for other cars. I've paid the booking for Forte 1.6SX i think I'll just go along with the mainstream cheapest C segment car. LOL Hey guys, I need to know. Savvy engine oil need up to 4 litre right? I freak out just now when my engine suddenly die and keep cranking it cant start!!! called the amassurance toll guy within 10 - 15 minutes.. i start it up again and it's running fine! reached home took my left over engine oil and pour all of it in.. I remember all the while my 4 litre bottle will be empty when i service my car but this round the guy pass me the bottle with like.. approx 500ml left? Not too sure whether this is the issue. |

Don't get it wrong - the savvy's oil sump capacity is 3.65L + oil filter 150 ml so total is about 3.8litre.I've been using 4 quars = 3.79 litre as Amsoil only come with quart bottles. Some people said using over the capacity will affect the FC cos too heavy, or some other negative affects.. Usually there is leftover when using 4 litres pack, as the mechanic will know when it reaches the max line on the dipstick he will stop pouring it. LIke I said, I dun think there's thing to worry about unless you pour 5 litre in it lol. |

My fuel consumption is better than yours! I've been using 4 quars = 3.79 litre as Amsoil only come with quart bottles. LIke I said, I dun think there's thing to worry about unless you pour 5 litre in it lol. Anyway what oil have you been using? At last i pour in the LM oil i bought for my Savvy last weekend. After a week using it all i can say it's blardy good. Previously still got 2 x 4 litre tesco fully syn oil to use... so took me about 8 months before i can test the LM oil. hahaha The best oil i've use among all the previous oil I did. Now my girlfriends Vios and my Savvy will only be using LM oils. The other day i change shell/petronas oil for her vios.. After using a week she complain say why her car after service not as silent as before and when pick up the engine like suffering. Called my friend got the LM oils from him and change it for my girl the next day. Haha in summary what i have to say is.. if a lady would be able to notice the difference after changing to a different brand of oil.. the previous brand of oil must be damn good. LOL. |
