For electric gauge, this is the cheapest I can find in Mudah. I use electric gauge in my BLM

Clean of course will not void warranty

Mod = Modify, do you expect somebody go and change their iFon casing to some caina pink color casing can still enjoy the warranty from Aple?

TDC sensor, if your car crank start as usual with no problem, then don't bother, ALAN said so. Again the old saying goes, if it's not broken, why fix it? rolleyes.gif

50K KM.. at 1st it does give me problem the jerking and stuff ..went to proton they claim to clean the sensor and reset sumthing..so the jerk gone.Charge me RM130+

Advised me to do major n timiing belt change at 80,000Km.(which i will go to RS)

The car was fine..all good but the only notable lack is Reverse..either it wont move or too much oil..hard to control Reverse..damn it
*
About the reverse, just many people comment on my sawi is having is weird R position.
Sometime when i reverse,my fren will say 'u put gear 1 for wat'. . . .rclxms.gif

About the timing belt, i thought need to be change around 50-60km? or previous owner recently changed?

I think the sc u went to is they do TDC sensor cleaning(well known issue) and reset ECU i guess.
130+ seems reasonable for potong sc price.

Hi all savyrian,

Want to ask about sawi battery?
I am still using stock battery/timing belt/aircon belt....
What is the frequency need to change battery?
This few days notice when i start up/lock the car no more sound...is it because of the battery?

By the way, what type of checking/maintenance regularly need to perform on beloved sawi....i mean preventive maintenance =)

How many km ur will change timing belt/air con belt,if never changed b4?

Any 1 have the original savvy manual/link or so on for me to read/refer?

Kind soul,thanks for reply =)

sawi tered is so silent...lolx

Sensors kena wonkey awhile when got water soaked in. However, if generally no problem, please proceed to have the oil(transmission, engine, brake) changed to be on the safe side smile.gif Basically if you don't get trap + engine stall at the middle of flood, you're fine. Provided water level does not cover intake inlet/spark oil/ECU and whilst you're having enough engine speed to keep the exhaust pipe blowing OUTWARD, your car can survive that flood nod.gif
*
That mean during flood, vroom vroom all the way to run out of flood . . ..
and hopefuly engine wont stall

Conversion can be very minimal, clutch linkage + housing + clutch pedal works of brake pedal + ECU reset + dashboard wiring + shift stick + H-Gate. The rest almost everything can be use back, just need to ditch away the robot and clutch pump and replace with the things I've listed. Rough estimation yes indeed around 3k. HOWEVER, that does not mean problem free. In the end it's a conversion, later clutch cable patah la, clutch housing senget lar, ECU can't recognize it's a manual still detect as "P" lar this lar that lar.

More over, how often do you see sawi manual halfcut? blink.gif If you can find, good for you coz those parts if buy new, it will be more expansive than your car. Take your calculation provided earlier:

Your car value 5k
You owe bank 11k
After trade in, you still owe bank 6k

If decided to convert to manual, and so happened it works with 3k, so your car now is 11k debts + 3k conversion cost. Total costing raised up to 14k

You buy a Sawi manual for 7k, add on the money you still owe bank 6k = RM13k

Sell off the AMT and get anor manual would still save you RM1k with much less problem icon_idea.gif

I wont be surprise for the next fellow come sawi thred said bought a problemo AMT sawi ... . haha

well, thats depend.. not all amt senang kaput one.. some are lemon from factory..
others just need to take care of the amt oil, then the voltage (battery)..
other than that, is wears and tears.. dont expect you buy 2nd hand car and u want it to perform like new.. must have some spare money to fix one..

one of the senior nru savoc member had his amt savvy from 2005 til now.. so far so good..
somehow, its depend on your pocket and how much u will to spend for the car..

i myself want to purchase an amt at first but end up got my hand on manual, all after read and advices from fellow savoc / savvy owner club members.. but few month

about the conversion, yup.. buy a halfcut manual / talking bout whole engine, gbox, wiring if possible, ecu and so on.. better take from owner that convert his car to starlet or such.. must make sure part in good condition.. around 3-5k..

if its me on your shoe, i will opt for repair and prevention maintenance..
go for good amt service from foreman that already mention in here..
they can help u fix or better if u leave the car to be inspect and get a major overhaul / good service on the amt parts..
maybe for less then 3k..

MT in kl is urghhhH~ its the reason why my MT savvy is in seremban..
love my wife AT suzuki swift much in kl daily driving.. (happy.gif)/  <3
*
Well, u do gym workout on ur left leg during jam. The clutch is as good as a 1 kg dumbbell.haha

Me too bought a MT due to overwhelm complaint on AMT, but 90% of the time i spot a 'AMT' stick on the back left on the boot. = ="
Do you know how to check the status of the car battery?

They're all AMT waiting for halfcut sparepart. Some the clutch pump ady beyond repair, getting a new unit would cost a bomb. Some the robot died, waiting for 2nd hand robot whistling.gif Some Kangoo Auto is sold as part car doh.gif That said, AMT/Auto halfcut is rare, manual mostly repairable and very seldom sell as junk flex.gif

All hail to manual gearbox . . .Althou is a rare sight for MT sawi
