I'm upgrading my iphone 4 to i.o.s 5.0.1 using snowbreeze because need to preserve baseband. Wish me good luck. I'm worry that will brick my iphone.

I had jailbreak my iphone 4 locked set to ios 5.0.1 with snowbreeze 2.9.1 and then installed corona from cydia. But everytime I reboot my device, it will stuck at apple logo. It will stuck there until I use redsnow to "Just boot" it. Seem like it was a tethered jailbreak. What can I do to solve this problem?

Have you looked at LockInfo? Not sure if it's compatible with iOS 5 but I'm pretty sure it does what you mentioned.

dude, the new snowbreeze is already untethered. u dont have to install corona. to install custom firmware, u need to put ur phone into pwned dfu mode. plus, if your phone is locked, dont forget to install SAM to activate the phone to get your push working. install ultras0w, then SAM.

Not necessarily. If he used preserve baseband only method, it will not jailbreak (it will upgrade and preserve baseband only). I think the guide (for sn0wbreeze) in post #1 should be helpful. You should use Expert mode which will preserve baseband and also jailbreak at the same time.

Hi all, its my 1st time doing jailbreak on my 4s. Im having a problem. i already dl absinthe. When i run the program it doesn't detect my phone device. I already connect it to my pc. is there anything i miss out .....to make the software to detect my phone ?
