use apps, RT architect works for me, but im using it for ringtones and sms, never tried facebook or whatsapp etc

here's a few fixers for your problems, in case anyone else wants to read
2. tap status bar, auto goes back up to top
3. can la, go into contact > choose contact u want to share > press share contact > through message > enter the phone number of the person you want to send to
6. 5.1 has a fix, in the mean time SBsettings from jailbreaking can turn it off if you dont mind jailbreaking
7. a lot of ways to prolong batt life, you just need to know what u dont use and can turn off (also refer to number 6 regarding 3G)
8. safari browser is better at playing HD youtube than the in-built youtube app. a few other apps from appstore also do it better

the other numbers that i didnt address is not because there are no fix, or maybe there really are no fixes, but i have yet to search for them haha

lol u guys need to read the previous posts, quite a few people have given their insight on the imessage
okay i try to recap what i can remember ya, but i might miss out some things, i advice you guys to read from the beginning or check the imessage thread, i think there is one

1. all numbers should have country code (imsg and also siri needs this)

2. under settings > message you need to turn your imsg on, let it load and configure. and if you never want it to be sent as sms, but only imsg, u turn off the function to send as sms. there is a function there, just check your message settings, u can turn off sending imsg as sms if it fails

3. you and the person ur sending the msg to needs ios5 and wifi/3g (basically internet) for the imsg to be sent through

4. when you choose your friend to send the msg to, let it load for a while, if its the first time ur sending an imsg to the person, it will take maybe 5seconds? never more than 5 seconds for me. so you open your msg, and let it load, if it turns to blue then your friend has imsg, if it doesnt load to blue, it means your friend doesn't have imsg.

5. if your friend has imsg but no data at the moment when you send the imsg to them, it will be still sent as imsg on your phone, when your friend gets data plan, he/she will receive the imsg.

6. if you have turned on your 'send as sms' function, then there's a possibility your imsg will be sent as sms if the imsg fails to send (happened to me only once, so i can't confirm if it is an ALWAYS thing)

i feel as if im missing out a bit of information la, so please do check out the relevant threads for more questions ya, i'm sure alot of your questions and tests, someone else has already done, so just need to rajin rajin find a bit hahaha

lol i even pay for cydia tweaks, if i'm going to jailbreak for "free apps" as u say, why would i pay for cydia tweaks? i pay for apps on apple store as well as cydia store, and those that are free, i enjoy as well hahaha jailbreaking isn't for piracy

Hmmm something weird is happening lately, has anyone on DiGi iPhone4s suddenly started not receiving calls and just keep going to voicemail?

I suddenly realise that people who call me can't get through to me, EVEN THOUGH I have full bar connection on my phone, they keep going through to my voicemail. I can call them no problem, but when they call me it doesn't go through even though I have signal.

I'm using iPhone 4S with DiGi in Seremban, jailbreak with iOS 5.0.1 (9A406).
Anyone else have this similar problem?

if you don't want to use an app
google audacity and download that
then upload your own mp3 song into it, i think max is either 30 or 40 seconds long, i'm not sure, but u need to save your new file as m4r
then go to itunes and drag it into tones
and you'll see it on your iphone under sounds setting

haha oh u dont use itunes by default one is it?
try it la, but i do feel there are quite many better players out there if you're talking about music and video playing compared to itunes
but yeah with apple, alot of things have to be done with itunes dude

adding m4r to your tones in itunes doesn't work for u?

hahaha okay i guide u step by step, check to see if you missed out any of these steps -
1. create ur ringtone (30/40 seconds not sure which is the limit, you try and test)
2. drag your ringtone into your itunes (NOT YOUR PLAYLIST, but into your Tones list)
3. plug in your iphone and sync with your itunes
3a. while your iphone is plugged in, go to your iphone, click tones (tones where summary, apps, music etc. are, not the main tones section)
3b. check that your tones are properly clicked to sync
3c. sync again
4. go to your iphone settings > sounds > ringtone > search for the tone you named

i don't understand your home button question, could you repeat that one?
the wifi connection, as long as you turn on your wifi and connect to a wifi, it will choose wifi over your cellular data auto iirc

i don't think so on the iphone, im not sure though, cause i'm still not 100% clear on your question, when you lock phone, it goes into standby, and nothing blinks or no light dims, just locks immediately
OHHHH i think i get what u mean, last time nokia phone, when u lock, the light is still on for a while before it dims off, so ur asking if iphone got that anot is it?

charge to 100%, use until 0% (phone dies, with the loading circle in front of black screen) then charge back to 100%

when your phone dies at 0% u plug it in, when it starts charging, after a while it auto turns back on

Quick question guys, does anyone know how to make calendar events appear in your notification centre in advance? I think by default (i THINK by default because i never did anything to mine), it shows 1 day in advance, any way to change that 1 day in advance to something else?

go to ur mail settings and change it
settings > mails, contacts, calendar > whatever mail u use, i use gmail > mail days to sync > no limit (or whatever limit u want)
