Hi Bro,

Basically, may I know are you asking that TIME supports to use your own wifi router ? If so, then YES.

The settings are pretty simple, jus put in PPPOE settings like Username (usually comes in the format, yourusername@timebb , Password : 6 characters) .

For your case which is an office, let's say you apply for the PLUS package, you will b provided with Cisco SRP527W Wireless Router. This package comes bundled with 4 Voice Lines. 2 Voice Lines will be configured at the Fibre Modem (ONU), the other 2 will be at Cisco SRP527W. In this case it's better to stick to our own router.

For BASIC package, there's no worries at all to use yr own wireless router.

Thanks.

Hello I would like to know what will happen after the 100gb quota for 100mbps plan . How slow will the speed be or will have to buy extra quota?
*
Good Question Bro.

After 100GB Quota finished, the speed will down to 1Mbps.

You may opt to purchase the quota at :

1GB - RM10
5GB - RM25
10GB - RM50

Please bear in mind that the Quota 100GB is only applicable to 100Mbps Package.

The normal New Packages like 8,15,30 & 50Mbps DO NOT have any Quota Limit.

Hi,

My hse has Unifi. Can i use TIME as well without canceling unifi?
*
TIME uses its own Fibre cable, perhaps it's the only provider in the market which is using 100% fibre into customer's premise.

TIME does not share/depend to others such as Unifi.

So there is no prob if you stil want to remain Unifi.

lol draconian cap...

fyi, time has VERY LIMITED access to provide their services to the malaysian population. to simply provide 100 Mbps at RM179 with a reasonable 100 GB cap is a freaking steal. let alone offering unlimited quota at 15 / 50 Mbps at RM179 is unbeatable.

time with 0.1% access to the malaysian geography and able to offer cheaper prices at faster speeds is just amazeballs.

it just sickens me when people come in here complaining about quota and coverage. get a clue.

thanks
*
well said bro....agree with you.

consider 50Mbps standard package at rm399 which is a reasonable price, bear in mind tis has no quota limit....if u r particular for quota, then go for tis package.. no quota & happy downloading !

Thanks for that. I've already read this. But, I wanted to see some photos which show how the cables running around in the house.

EDIT: Also, how does the cables actually come into your house in a condominium? Is it going to be glued at the walkway?
*
The fibre cable is coming from the riser room where TIME has its splitter installed there.

Well through walkway, it really depends on condos, some condos will require concealed, some allowed using pvc pipes, some jus allowed bare cable with glue......this very much depend on individual condo requirement.

Depend on the contract

For first 12 month, pay the rest of the bill, that's the contract for cancellation.

Latest FTTH package no more penalty based on months, it's a simple straight forward RM500.

hi wanna ask.. i'm planning to get TIME fibre now... however if one day should i have the interest to get astro as well.. do i need to cancel the subscribed TIME package and reapply with Astro IPTV ?

I figured since the backbone of Astro IPTV is TIME as well.. adding the astro service wouldn't be that complicated right ?
*
Hi Bro...

If you subscribe TIME Fibre package now & later want to switch to Astro IPTV package, there is no problem at all.

Anyhow you will need to follow Astro Internet packages, you cant take TIME Fibre packages & add in Astro as an add-on.

All cables & equipments remained the same.

Something very strange is happening.

I live in Domain 2, Cyberjaya. It's a new-ish apartment complex. We have no wired broadband access here. No Unifi, not even Streamyx. I don't think we can even get phone lines here. So a lot of people are fed up and wants to move out.

Last Friday though, I see Time broadband posters up near the apartment, offering the unlimited (8/15/something/50Mbps) and 100Mbps packages. So I look up the Time website and see that the apartment is not there in the coverage map. I also called the Time customer service, they say they don't think they have coverage.

So I went back and chatted a bit with the Pak Guard, who told me that because of the widespread discontent, the developers are bringing in Time broadband to prevent people moving out. And it's not a "survey" (which was done weeks ago), it's the real deal. I called the local distributor (on the poster) and she says that once the forms are submitted, it will take 2 weeks for the processing and installation.

So I'm a bit confused here - what's going on?
*
Hi my friend, I've not been to yr condo, but et me check it out.

TIME has infra at Cyberjaya but that is for Leased Line (Ethernet Direct).....

One easy way to find out, you may go to the Telekom Riser room to see whether there's any TIME trunking (white color with TIME magenta color wording), if not then it would take some time to prepare the infra, 2 weeks is impossible to have it installed.

If infra is ready & ready for service, upon order submission, it will take 7 working days (usually less than that) the TIME Order Team will call you up to set an exact appointment date & time for Installation.
Entire Installation usually takes 3-4 hours depend on the complexity & requirement of the condo as well.

Thanks.

Oh well, I guess I'll just submit the form. What's the worse that could happen?

(seriously guys, not rhetorical question - there shouldn't be any downsides to just submitting the form, right? I mean, I really do want Internet access)
*
Hi Bro,

please check your PM.

Domain 2 is under TIME RFS list ...yeah cheers smile.gif

Thanks.

Sorry I defer... Most feedback is good....

I can tell you for sure, at least in Penang, which I handle out of 10 customers, 10 are satisfied & feel great to have Time fibre !

Sometimes complaints are not due to the provider, it's due to the problems that arise from bad installation, improper handling, customers negligence etc.
