Ways to protect padlock from scratching, Main gate, grille etc

Guys, Please share how you prevent/minimize padlock from scratching/peeling off paint from your grille. I just repainted my grille. tennis racket grip tape? black tape? cellophane tape? double sided tape? Please share... This post has been edited by six66: Jan 12 2012, 07:38 PM
