I want to dispose puff batteries. I'm considering either salt water or discharge to 0V using my Imax B6 charger & then buried them in the soil (because I want it completely safe). What do you think? I have two puff batteries & one that doesn't want to hold any charge.

Yeah, I know using the nail. Maybe next time. smile.gif I already dunk the batteries in the salt water yesterday. Maybe I'll poke with nail after to finish it off. I will definitely using a long wood with nail at one end to keep the lipo batteries at arm's length. biggrin.gif

Anyone wanna share their R/C weekends activity?
*
No activity for a while now. I should have get crawler because there is no appropriate track for fast R/C near me also no body into R/C cars in my area.

For 1/10 HSP even the entry level (entry level is brushed while top/pro is brushless) have metal diff, metal drive shaft & metal axle/dogbone. The spur is plastic. However I don't know whether pangolin have metal drive shaft or not though. I only have multiple times bent the dogbone. The drive shaft & diff so far have no problem.

The RGT 18000 look like build way better than pangolin. I would go for that. For traxxas, you would need budget around RM1k to 2k & usually it is brushed setup. Brushless usually go above 2k. But again, for crawler, brushed motor is better. Other branded brands also above 1k unfortunately.

Awesome. But I'm curious - why are brushed motors better for crawlers?
*
For crawling you want smooth control at the lower-end of the throttle which brushed motor do offer.

My 1/10 scale crawler community at local area started to slow down due to family commitment and not time to play outside, so most of us start to go for smaller size so we could enjoy more playtime indoor.  1:35 scale ORLANDOO micro crawler is a good hobby grade models for if wanted to stay within budget range without loosing quality and still grow with abundant option parts.

Yeah, I have been looking at smaller scale now too. I can easily setup indoor track. The wltoys k989 1:28 scale looks really great imo. It's not a crawler because I'm more interested in racing. smile.gif

Looks like no one have k989 in stock locally. Btw, I'm thinking converting my HSP brontosaurus monster truck to drift car. Do I need to change the diff to one-way diff? Both?

If you want cheap and safe alternative for drift differential you can use hot glue to lock the diff temporary.  I use these method a lot for drift setup.  You can learn about it here:  http://www.rcmojo.com/620/how-tos/how-to-t...k-for-drifting/
*
I was considering locking the diff but I read (mentioned a lot in the articles that I read for drift) that one-way diff works differently. That's why I asked. Thanks, now I know locking the diff should works as well. smile.gif

Oh yeah, I saw that ad on Mudah. Look way better than the original HSP one. Probably RGT is "luxury" version of HSP.

The Hsp 1/24 Rgt Rock Scale Crawler look good too for mini RC.

My budget rc drift project begin. I got 2nd hand parts yesterday & installed last night. I just realised that the hsp rc car have slightly different chassis than their off-road vehicles but I managed to fit the front bumper. However I may need to adjust it if I mod the steering for more steering angle.

Is that Tamiya's SUBARU bodyshell?  cool2.gif
*
It's not tamiya because if you look carefully it is SUBAPU. biggrin.gif There also NASSAN bodyshell but I like blue colour of SUBAPU.

The cutout for the wheels are not properly aligned with hsp wheels. I had to trim them. Is the hsp off road (buggy & monster truck) looks scale?

Do 3100kv is enough for drift or I should replace it with 4000kv motor? Also the drift angle much easier to maintain with locked rear drift right? Currently not lock yet & the car tend to get out of a drift. Also I'm noob which one of the reason. biggrin.gif I should lock the rear diff before messing with the gears (ratio) right?

Thanks. I'll swap with hobbywing max 10 + 4000kv combo in my buggy. The 3100kv motor more suitable for off road anyway.

I still unable to finish my drift car project. I think I'll need to fill the diff cup entirely with hot glue. My first attempt wasn't successful.

Some people suggest using screw(s) to lock the diff. Do you know how to do that SupermotoXL?

newbie here.

The old radio that you lost is TQ or TQi? Anyway, refer to compatibility page link below to know which radio the current receiver compatible with.
