oh god, sorry!! its ssd 330 and not m4! gosh, shouldn't be replying at 1:30 am next time!! sweat.gif

But anyway, isnt intel 330 a faster, and also longer warranty drive? 360 for that is a great price imo. If both m4 and 330 available for 360, I will definitely get intel 330 without thinking! wink.gif

no one can say that m4 is more reliable than 330. Both of them are equally reliable. smile.gif

Intel 330 is 3 years

not longer warranty, In fact, same warranty period as crucial's warranty too~

if you say longer warranty it's intel 520 @ 5 years warranty

Crucial Distri still avaliable what~

Just For general public knowledge as recently people keep brainwashing people with longer warranty SSD = better ssd~ Intel is good, but by 3 years ahead with technology advancements and speed advancements / price drops and others it's not that "convincing" to get longer warranty for higher pricing... if you say wanna get the best SSD speeds + Intel Reliability... be my guest.. cos i'm using a 320~

it may fetch you higher price in forum when selling 2nd hand value.. but at time goes by when SSD prices keep dropping,it will be just like something that you like then to believe on longer warranty~

Divide-ing product costs with warranty like intel 5 years / xxx Vs Crucial 3 years xxx = how much per year is not the correct way to do it... Warranty gives you peace of mind.. when warranty soon ends.. then you should be paying attention instead of just leave it as it is... smile.gif

teaching the wrong way of buying stuffs~

Tq~

actually I don't really care about the warranty, just wanted to find some sort of advantage(apparently its not haha) but then again, for the same price, we can get the 330 which seems to be faster. Yes,ok, the m4 has been proven to be super reliable, but not to say 330 isnt right? It is equally reliable yet same price, but its faster. So it definitely is the better choice, at least to my point of view.

PS, SSD will almost for sure last longer than a normal HDD. And even with a normal HDD, I only use few years, and SSD prices, speed, and capacity is getting better every day lol. So will definitely be tempted to get a new one, just for the capacity, if not for the speed. smile.gif

extra 8gb vs extra speed... plus sf vs crucial marvell...

yea true it highly depends on the forumers

personally i would prefer Crucial M4 but ended up taking Fujitsu SSD cos it's cheap and acceptable speeds while running on Sata 2 speeds...5xx for that 240gb.. worth every penny haha~

You mean the myitmall seller at https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1659160? That isn't a good deal, as I have gotten a 256GB Crucial M4 SSD for about RM700~ and that seller is listing a 160GB Intel 320 for RM700. You can even get a 180GB Intel 330 for RM549 at retail.
*
M4 256GB is ard RM659 no by boonykun? or Ronaldjoe @ RM660~

256GB if I'm not mistaken and yeah, you might require the riser though to use the 7mm. Unless you get the 9mm version.
*
Not really, cos some of the laptops has screws, just adjust the SSD to the screws holes and lock it will do... not really requires riser and others... plus thinner = more better chances in using it in other stuffs in future~

Not bad the price, but 256gb is a little too small.
*
It's Very Subjective tbh this question, Some even 1TB also nt enough.

if 256GB, after format, + windows + softwares (CS6, premier , 3dmark and etc etc is more then enough already lu)

Inclusive 2-3 games will still run properly.

500GB size may sound the best size possible, but still taking a SSD and run 500GB... even if yr laptop it's still overkill... my Fujitsu 240GB SSD only occupied 20% after almost every mix and match softwares inserted >.<

Intel 330 is Dirt cheap price.

Yes it's a Intel, but it's a Sandforce smile.gif, so some who had bad experiences with SF will move to Crucial for slower but Reliable speed, while some wants cheap andd easy plus It's INTEL, 330 will be the best. TBH i am using MORE unreliable SSD... Fujitsu SSD's with SF too

But still, most will consider Either Intel or M4, cos of the price range... if you want more extra speed Corsair Force 3 120GB price also dropped to the marginal between this two brands.. and recently their Firmware's looks much stable then the previous one.

If you do let me have a chance to choose again... i will still choose Fujitsu cos the price is INSANE... <RM2 per GB for 240GB... and <RM1.7 for 480GB .... Who cares... I'm using it for a non-important laptop anyway haha, important data is always @ sandisk Extreme 64GB usb 3.0 penddrive... / plugged in 64GB sandisk SDXC

If nt fujitsu definately corsair/ intel cos pointless to get slow speeds except you really scare of SSD failures, else Crucial M4 is Tested Reliable and good to go... smile.gif

Brandings doesn't matter.. OCZ is such reputable brand, while their OCZ petrol fails more then one couldd imagine...

While corsair also reputable... previous year Force series SSD full of problems.

Crucial only manage to save thier ass with M4, C300 is not a good memory for me.. always BSOD>.>

While Intel... Famous 8MB bug last year does gives a Good Punch on reliability despite it's world known brand.

So.. till the end it's up to the Buyer to decide... smile.gif
