QUOTE(dma0991 @ Jul 21 2012, 03:25 PM) It depends on which RST you're talking about. RST can be Rapid Start Technology or Rapid Storage Technology, both with different purposes. For the Rapid Start Technology, haven't seen it being used on other than Ultrabooks. Rapid Storage Technology, is meant to use a faster storage like SSD and a HDD in tandem to speed up the HDD while using the SSD as a cache. I think Rapid Storage Technology, I'm using crucial M4 on desktop. I think it doesn't effect on mine because I'm using Sata 2. or maybe I should leave installed in my pc?QUOTE(Bombgen @ Jul 21 2012, 03:37 PM) Same on mine before. it fixed when I install SATA AHCI Controller driver. |

QUOTE(Bombgen @ Jul 21 2012, 04:10 PM) mind to tell me how to install it? just download Intel ICH10R SATA AHCI Controller. you may google it.I'm using Driver Pack Solution 12, easier for me to update all my drivers. Wait a minute.. Intel SATA AHCI Controller and Intel Rapid Storage Technology are same? This post has been edited by mikd9999: Jul 21 2012, 05:29 PM |

QUOTE(t3n @ Aug 1 2012, 11:44 PM) Sifu, I bought Crucial M4 256GB and install it in my Lenovo Y480 but when i use HWmonitor to see my temp, it doesn't show my SSD temp.. Can I know how to fix it?? why you want to know SSD temperature? Added on August 2, 2012, 12:25 amSSD doesn't produce heat, you don't have to worry about heat on ssd.
