its a waste if u get sata 2 ssd. mayb u wanna upgrade next time? better just get crucial or if u want a sata 2 price, get intel 330.
*
so at the moment, crucial m4 is the best? thanks for the feedback. will look into it. wat u say is true, perhaps i need to upgrade my system next time.will be a big waste.thanks

hi, i got a few questions.

1.Is intel RST necessary for SSD?
2.My mobo does not support RAID. Is it possible to install intel RST? if yes, 3.should I follow the F6 method to install intel RST?
4.To clarify, intel RST install during windows installation right?

im new to this and hope to get some guidance from all of u.I have been reading all about ssd since yest. will be getting a M4 soon.

p/s im not trying to spoonfed but just want to get some clarification and guidance. im confuse on how should i optimise the performance of my ssd and how to get ready to install it without error. tq

ill be receiving my m4 2moro, any simple steps to set up the ssd? mostly i read on the internet and getting more confused.
*
1. Plug in ur SSD. boot into windows. Update the SSD Firmware. M4 000F FW
2. Reboot into BIOS. Set to ACHI. Shut down.
3. Unplug all the HDD, except M4.
4. Put in Windows 7 cd and install.
5. Once done, perform system optimization (DO NOT PLUG IN OTH HDD)
-* follow this link to perform all the steps after u success install Windows 7 - too long for me to write here.

SSD Installtion Guide + Optimization

hope it helps. i just got my m4 too and i follow the steps on that link. works well.
