if you guys have the money and want to go for speed, get the Mushkin Chronos Deluxe SSDs, since they use the much more expensive toggle NAND...

but to be honest, currently using Intel Series 330, it feels fast enough already, and it is much much cheaper.... Win 7 boot up time less than 15 sec (including BIOS phase).

it should be under SATA option, where you have to select the SATA mode and make it AHCI.

haha..if worry so much then get HDD better..no nid to worry about the write lifespan XD

not necessarily... sometimes mechanical drive do have tendency to go kaput faster due to it being mechanical, you know, spinning drive, moving heads etc...

I'm just curios that since I have Sata 3 mobo, what's the best budget for RM450 SSD for OS purpose? smile.gif
*
well, you can get 120GB SSD from various brands for that price now....

... and if you're planning to install games on SSD, get at least the 120GB one.... 60GB won't be enough, well, may be for one game it is sufficient, any more you'll need bigger size... game folder nowadays is huge.... almost 30GB...

New build with SSD (120GB). Should I partition it? Or just leave it like that with OS & some applications...
*
no need partition.... trust me, you wouldn't want a partition on a disk with small capacity...
