Finally, I have successfully installed custom ICS kernel (Alliance kernel by night-elf) for my Xperia Neo.
Now I have root, recovery, swap support, overclocking/underclocking and USB On-the-Go support with NTFS/FAT/EXT2 support. With root I removed bloatware and can free up to 56MB from stock. With swap support, I will have no problem playing heavy games that uses more RAM. I got serious kicked to desktop problem. I wish Neo have 'true' 512MB of RAM, not 330MB USB-OTG for my file management Note: Custom kernel only for unlocked bootloader only Attached thumbnail(s) |

swap memory is also known as virtual memory. when RAM or physical memory is low, operating system can address the memory into a page file ir swap file on the disk.
Pro: helps computer with low RAM = free RAM Con: slower performance, depends on disk write speed |

QUOTE(darkcurves @ Jun 3 2012, 01:07 PM) After using ics on my pro, i notice considerable lag while launching apps and also while using them. Need to reboot quite often. Camera also seems a little buggy plus pics not so sharp even when there is enough light. The worst is battery, have to charge 2 or 3 times a day while on GB only once ....i want GB back, hehe.. happen to me too, but after "update Service" 2nd without retaining the data only its smooth |

what could be the problem? every 2 weeks or so, my xpro will turn off and must remove the batt in order to reboot. now i have auto shut down + overheating problem where the back of the fon is burning like hell and must remove the batt to let both the fon and batt to cool down. not sure if it is ic problem or just the bad battery issue. i am worry one day it will explore and dig a hole in my assss.
