soul of light - underground hallow

there is no soul of dark so if you mean soul of night should be underground corruption

Not sure if i can join, exam half way. Even if I do play also I'll be playing public servers. Disappointed with the amount of players in lynterraria.

It because of the lack of publicity Terraria has compared to minecraft in Malaysia and SEA. And also the fact that minecraft has more updates, making it more sandboxed than terraria. So that's why we have few players in lynterraria
However, the international audience have a larger Terraria community because of the exposure to the various aspects of the game, not only the adventuring but the building, the PVP tournaments, the creativity of building mechanical contraction in terraria and etc. (see below for the screen shots and stuff)

But the gaming community here hasn't been exposed to a new genre of gaming that terraria (and minecraft) is from because they're still living in their MMOs and FPS. So that's why we have such events to let them have a break from the regular gaming and into the world of terraria where there are endless possibilities to the game and hoping to increase the number of players.

Hence, we need all the support we can get from active players and feedbacks on how to expand the community.

Maybe instead of a PVP tournament, we can have a building contest or a best mechanism design?

actually my gf is the one playing that server and she met another Malaysian there too. It's not at all less popular here in Malaysia. It's just people max out too fast and got bored. Or they go to a free stuff server and spoil the game themselves then quit.

How could we improve on our server, compared to the ones you have visited, that more people will play in it?

haha i actually dont compare. Because the servers Jinxx host are simple. I kinda like it because it feels like a private lyn only server not aiming too high.

TShock is the word man. You know when you play lynterrariapvp. Warping and building protection is important.

The efforts you guys put inside servers are already very well done, just the community is very little. Which is kinda sad.

Servers like lynpvp is so well built that im curious why didnt they bring it to become a dedicated server like most of the servers out there. the warps are perfect, mini-games are perfect and there are still places for home. Oh and speaking of which, the server im currently into is because of the freedom to build things as long as abide by the rules. Of course community is the most important thing i look for. I use to login lynterraria everyday and no one else login or only doomsday which bores me.

Maybe we need to make the server more public, instead of just in LYN.

And on the PVP server, it's down cause jeff is busy with his studies and have not find the time to set the wraps and necessary protection.

oh I've done only very little, he... he built almost everything underground. Im more like one who fetches items lol.

I have exams on Wednesday, although i wanna play so much. Very itchy wanna dig something.. =x

Actually making it public or not is not the issue, it's just that i think most of the listed players on first page never logs in anymore. Maybe bored. Maybe busy. If like half of the listed players goes online. It'll be fun already.

Im having exams this wed and next week (Whole week till friday)
so I will be back next friday and will try to get the pvp server back up.
