I bought one for my gf. It comes with casing and sp as well. I still find it is difficult to look for 3rd party sp and case. Very smooth UI is you use the 2d UI. You will not feel the lag at all. It battery capacity is small but surprisingly can last so long. Battery can stand 24 hours for normal use, but normally you will start charging before you sleep. If not using it for 8 hours, it only drop 3% with using normal mode in power saving mode. To me, camera not bad at all. Dolby music quite good. The stock earpiece feel lousy ... No need to download H-suite as it has build in H-suite installer inside the phone. Surprisingly, the H-suite support my galaxy s phone    I feel H-suite is better than samsung kies in term of backup contact, sms, install apps, manage contacts, etc. IMHO, ascend p1 is a very good mid end phone. It even smoother then my bro S3

is the speaker loud? most china phones are VERY LOUD. i want it to be loud.

how's the 3g signal strength compare to samsung or iphone? stronger?

If you don't want to root, flash custom rom, don't mind the battery cannot change then yes.

This would most likely be my temporary phone to try out android only b4 note 2 or padfon 2 is out...considering nexus 7 too bcoz just hand itchy wan to try android after using wp 7.5 and iOS...

ya, not everyone buy android to flash, android does not equal to flash, any a lot of ppl buy android phone jsut they want to hv simple social networking only... go buy iphone lo if u can get a new set at 899 and still with 1 year manufacturing warranty ...

i think with this ohone more or less u need to control the data you save also... ics and above no longer allow you to move apps to sd card..so my suggestion is get a 16gb sdcard. photo and data,music, movie all move the sdcard, apps install at the phone... then is vy good enough already... 899 new sealed set... where to find ...

ih, is it really pure vanilla ics like nexus? i ask around they said is not... i like the nexus feel... if really pure ics without any add on like touchwiz /  sence then is really a good choice for me.
