If you are on a tight budget, try to get all the required wet works (hacking, new walls, tiling, etc), plaster ceiling, electrical wiring done before moving in. There are the dusty and noisy work. If budget permits, then move on to the built-in furniture. There are the least inconvenience after you have move in. The most will be 1 or 2 days work.
