Hi, X pro-1 user here, any big difference between Xpro1 and XE1 besides the exclusion of optical viewfinder?

i order X-E1 + 35mm F1.4 from yamiya before CNY, yamiya delay the shipment from 18 Feb to 19 Feb, then the item should ship to kuantan city link, but city link ship it to Kuching office, what a service sweat.gif

useless talk to their supervisor .

No bag with mine.

As for front element moving during playback, the front element will move back to storage position when you press the playback button. Yes normal.

XE1 or for that matter, any other contrast detect camera, not really meant for sports, etc. The way which contrast detect focusing works is unsuitable for that purpose. You need either a phase detect DSLR or wait for the new gen Fuji's with phase detection like the X100s. biggrin.gif

thanks for your feedaback... however, i was thinking of XE1 at first... which package should i get? i'm thinking of getting 35mm at first, and then get another 18mm later on... some ppl suggest me that get the kit lens as it didn't sell separately... but i'm more favour to prime lens actually...

as for x100s, hell it is just come at the wrong time tongue.gif due to the weaken currency of YEN and the arrival of x100s, probably XE1 price will drop even further when x100s is introduce in malaysia... i heard something that x100s will reach smmore around end of mar or mid apr... i really wan to try focus peaking/contrast focus of x100s biggrin.gif

at least x100s gives optical/electronic viewer, world fastest focus speed (WOW drool.gif ), focus peaking features... but on thing kill it all, it is a fixed lens which can't be change doh.gif

so at the end, im in dilemma... anyone got any idea when x100s will arrive?

It depends on your needs. I got my X-E1 w the 18-55 as I needed the IS and quiet internal focus motors for some video recording (instead of buying a dedicated video recorder).... But I was too tempted by the 35/1.4 so I bought that separately. The 18-55 works very well! Only problem is that the aperture isn't really wide enough for indoor available light photography which the 35/1.4 or my X100 does pretty well at. That said, the 35/1.4 is awesome! Decide what you need and choose.... Otherwise just get both!

As for X100s vs X-E1? Not really the same as X100s is fixed lens. Great camera but not as flexible. Again, down to your needs and preference. If you can wait, get a used X100 first then wait for the X-E1s/X-E2???? brows.gif

hmm hmm.. anyway, i think the X-E2 will features almost the same function, but will include the focus peaking/contrast focus only... probably higher resolution of back LCD...
bro seech, can u share what is the price u get for the 35/1.4 lens? i think cheap cheap also need 1.8k...

really dilemma la now... icon_question.gif
