You can try Boeing... Saw a black one in Empire. Was informed they also have two silvers in stock as well.

QUOTE(zemmien @ Nov 21 2012, 08:47 AM) maybe they do have but not 18-55 kit set. most shops (last week) selling x-e1 with 35 or 60 I was the first one to view their unit. X-E1 body is much lighter than expected but the 18-55 has a nice weight to it. Unfortunately I was looking for silver. |

QUOTE(daruma @ Dec 10 2012, 06:34 AM) one weird problem. why isn't the lcd/evf showing What-you-see-is-what-you-get preview? in dark condition, the image previewed has no relation to the image to-be-captured. for example, i set shutter to 1/4000, half-press the shutter, the preview image is bright, captured image is pitch black. The EVF gains up so you can see in the dark. However, if you check your status bar below, it should indicate that the aperture is insufficient by showing it in red so the end result is dark.Added on December 10, 2012, 10:10 amJust got my X-E1 w/18-55mm yesterday! Some ISO tests... ISO1600: ISO3200: ISO6400!!! What can I say? Most impressive! Sharpness is also awesome even with the 18-55mm kit lens. The only problem about the X-E1 for me is that it's a lot bigger than my X100. Now just need to get the 35/1.4... This post has been edited by seech: Dec 10 2012, 10:10 AM |

QUOTE(little ice @ Dec 12 2012, 11:43 PM) went to lowyat today and walk pass this quiet looking booth with X100 and X-E1 on display. looks neat, and got a quote of RM4240 for kit lens set or RM4399 for 35mm, only 1 silver and 1 black left, promotion until this sunday. Wah. Very good price. Cheapest I've heard off so far....seems like a nice camera for not too much money! after my disappointment with OM-D recently i might look into this for my next year's oversea trips. looks like going to get even cheaper in the coming months. Just got my 35/1.4 last night. Nice. Bokehlicious but focusing motor noisier and more vibration than 18-55. Will post some pics when I have some decent shots. |

Some shots to share from my X-E1 + 35/1.4... Loving it!
I especially like the Pro-Neg Hi film simulation and the isolation from the 35/1.4. |

QUOTE(tsc77y @ Jan 1 2013, 04:46 PM) Just got my 35mm/1.4 lens. Noted the noise level (from the motor?) during auto focus is higher than 18-55mm lens. Is that normal? Anyone has experience on this? Yes normal. The 18-55 has an internal focusing motor and is very very quiet and smooth. The 35mm can be heard and felt during focusing. |

QUOTE(hidden830726 @ Feb 15 2013, 07:07 PM) Can I suggest a big Fuji thread like the Nikon thread here so ppl who likes Fuji system can all discuss and learn under one roof? Good idea! Can call it the Fuji X thread....now we're like divided into xpro/xe thread, x100 thread and x10 thread. a bigger community will give us better discussion. maybe admin can help merge if agree? Fuji really need and deserves it own thread. discuss. |

QUOTE(yankiat @ Feb 16 2013, 03:54 PM) Ya it's a good camera. Notice the focusing a bit slow at some time. Focusing is ok. Can't compare with DSLR. In low light better use MF.Btw just wanna check.. How you guys process the RAW files? Using LR, Photoshop or? Does it come with a standalone editing software in the box? Or... I should ask which software give the best raw output result for XE1? As for software, I shoot JPEG so can't help you there. If not mistaken only Capture One is optimised for Fuji. |
