Er... isn't the power supply build in the ATV itself. You can use those standard plug you get get from the electrical shop. Why need an adaptor?

Maxis 10mbps is fast enough for apple tv?
*
Not if you are using Plex to stream 1080p content. Not "HD enough" picture quality. hehe

yes for ATV2 coz can JB and you can get ATVFlash which has a media player or my personal favorite Plex (probably the best media organizer today). If ATV3 only can use home sharing on your iTunes.

to be honest why would you need to jailbreak ATV3, tons of media player around. ATV3 for Airplay if you have other IOS devices. Worst case scenario ATV3 - HDMI2, some other media player - HDMI3.. smile.gif

Thank you for sharing your experience on ATV4
I just order mine and will be in this Friday.
Meantime, I have installed Plex Media Sever on my PC running Win10 Pro.and streamyx 4mbps.
Installed movie trailer channel and try out streaming a few popular movie trailers.
Encountered buffering problem with msg " This server is not powerful enough to convert this video for smooth playback"
My system " Intel i5-4460 3.2 Ghz, Gigabyte H97-Gaming 3 with 8 GB RAM" should be powerful enough to transcode the video. Is it my streamyx at 4mbps is causing the problem or settings/configuration on PMS?
I foresee that I will have same problem running Plex on my ATV4 streaming video from my PC.
Any work around and advise would be most appreciated.
Thank You.

Firstly your PC is fine to transcode probably able to handle more than 3-5 streams too. the problem is your upload on streamyx which i believe is only at most 512kbps. that negates the possibility of streaming over the internet which was what plex was build for. As for ATV4 streaming from your PC locally no issues. I have tried many many plex clients and now loving the new ATV4 client.

I am currently on a free 1 month trial of local iFlix and have not encountered buffering problem live stream their movies.
If its a upload band width problem of 512kbps, don't you think  it should affect iFlix live stream too?
What are the plex clients you have tried on ATV4 and how you rate them?
Thanks for yr inputs.

Hmm. I don't think you get how Plex works, apologies if i am incorrect to assume.

iFlix media is all on their server, you just download from them little upload bandwidth required here coz you are streaming from their server. Furthermore their content is not HD.

Plex Media Server running on your PC, locally you ATV4 should play them fine. I set mine at unlimited even on Wifi 5ghz, playing HD stuff doesn't buffer at all. However when you are using your mobile device and you are out of your home and accessing Plex via 3G/4G/Wifi then your home upload plays a role and 512kbps is not going to cut it.

Er. Plex clients on ATV4, i have not tried Simplex only the original Plex client from the App store which is pretty awesome except the need to "reload" to refresh your on deck stuff, I guess its the way it is build now. Granted on other platforms the on deck does disappear when you finish an episode for example automatically.

Hope this gives you a clearer picture.
