Anyone face any issue when playing after upgrading to latest IOS? last time I can watch movie one after another and play songs without interruption. Now after upgrade IOS, I can only play one movie then got to restart in order to play the second movie. Same with song. After one song cannot play the next one. Got to restart then can play another one more song and  won't continue to the next one. It's getting annoying

my ATV3 airplay is not stable. sometime can connect(detected by devices), sometime cannot(not detected by devices) and sometime disconnect halfway.
weird thing is my modem or wifi router is good as my streamings still continue.

Anyone experiencing similar case?

Hi Eikozai,

Have you checked yr serial number to see if it qualifies for the Replacement Program?
Sure sounds like the wifi problem encountered by the affected batch of ATV3.

Regards
*
Yes i checked, but its not in that badge. Too bad.

err.. i didn't know i could do that. ill find out about itn ow

Open up your AirPort Utility.
1) 'Edit' your AirPort Extreme.
2) Go 'Wireless' tab.
3) Select 'Wireless Option...' at the bottom.
4) Check the box on the left of '5GHz network name'.
5) Key in a network SSID for your 5GHz bandwidth.
6) Leave the 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz channel as 'Automatic'.
7) Hit Save, and the window will close.
8) Hit 'Update'.
You may quit AirPort Utiity.

Now, connect your ATV to this 5GHz network.
Try AirPlay again and see if it solve your lag AirPlay issue biggrin.gif

My Apple TV stills lags but I m not using airport. Hoe to Improve ?
*
The only way is to make sure your network is not congested.
Congested i mean here is there's no heavy internet user or multiple users sharing the same network at the same time.
It really depend how well the router manage to deal with the traffics. DIR-615 isn't doing well fyi.

Siri on Fourth Generation Apple TV will be restricted to just 8 countries (Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, Spain, the UK and the U.S).

Below are the difference on the Siri Remote for the 8 countries, and the other with what the company is calling the Apple TV Remote.

Then what is the point of getting it in Malaysia? doh.gif
*
Exactly.
We'll be paying for the 'same' price, but didn't receive the equal functions.
I'll considering to import an unit from Australia when it launched, to i get the full functionality that im supposed to get.

Oh okay, now that's not exactly a good thing. But has anyone tried iFlix before, by the way?

I know it's Malaysia-based and something like the Asian version of Netflix / Hulu, but how is it? hmm.gif
*
I tried it with the trial.
Not much choices of movies, and mostly are old movies.
Quality wise i wouldn't say bad, but the HD isn't high quality enough.
Overall for that price i'll considered it as 'worth it', but not worth subscribing for long term.. Might get bored after 1-2 months.

Lack of channel variety is what stopped me from going for the  TV and bought a Samsung Smart TV instead. At least I have the choice of a Channel News Asia page, access to Facebook, a children's TV channel, or best of all, viewing YouTube in Full HD (something we cannot enjoy in a computer or iPhone)! rclxms.gif thumbup.gif

You got ur point.
But if you wanna subscribe Netflix or Hulu Plus, then ATV might be a great gadget. BUt you need to change the DNS to access these as they're DNS geo-blocked.
I subscribed to GetFlix for the DNS as i don't trust free DNS so much.

Promotional GetFlix for US$39, 30 years
Click above item to view the promotion, which is a great deal. I used that to replace my previous block-us DNS, works evenly well for me, but for fraction of cost.

Just wonder, can play Malaysia's iflix on this ATV?
*
No you can't, for the time being when this is written.
Since ATV4 have its own Apps Store, who knows if iFlix will have their own app later on, then you can.

At the moment, you can only mirror it via AirPlay from another Apple device.
