Hi, my ATV will arrive tomorrow. Thanks to Red Friday Sales. Can someone teach me how to set up Netflix or Hulu+, since there is so much talk about them here.

I also read that Netflix US has the best TV programs. In order to watch the US Netflix should I pay particular attention in the initiating setting up of my ATV for the first time? I read something like setting your iTunes account using the US address,,, bla bla bla... What does iTunes have to do with Netflix or other apps in ATV? Thanks.

Thanks markiliz. So I can connect my ATV tonight and try to play around with it first. Experimenting airplay, YouTube as such...

Then I will have to sign up and pay for Netflix or hulu+ ....or whatever. After that I can change the program settings to watch the US versions. Am I right?

change it now to US...other functions will not be affected...you don't even have netflix if you don't change it to US

My internet is down on my area today. I will set up my ATV WHEN THE INTERNET IS UP.

SO, IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT I CHANGE MY INITIAL ATV SET UP TO US, RIGHT?

I never have an iTunes account as well. So is it also recommended that I sign up iTunes by using US as my base country.

All the above are done so that we can watch Netflix or hulu+... ? Any other benefits?

Is iTunes account the same as your Apple ID?

And Apple ID does not have your country of origin associated with it, right?

Guys, can anyone help me for I cannot airplay my iPad and MBA contents via ATV to my plasma TV.

(1) My ATV airplay is ON,
(2) All my iPad, MBA are connected to a single Home Wi Fi network.
(3) My MBA's Airplay Display says "no device detected"
(4) My iPad's Airplay icon is missing too.

I am using D Link DSL 2640B router modem for home internet and wifi network. What seems to be the problem? Thank you.

Regards.

Hi, I was able to connect to the plasma TV last night. I think the old modem router that I am having might be the culprit. I often got the message "your wi-fi network is unstable" on my Samsung Note 2.

Thanks guys... Cheers...

My children's iPads and my MacBook Air cannot detect my Apple TV. All my devices are connected to the same WiFi. And I can watch YouTube using my Apple TV just fine.

So why I cannot airplay my iPad's contain? Thanks for any advice.

Cheers.
