Nope you can't PnP. The local set wouldn't have US channels like Netflix, Hulu+ etc... You need to change ATV3 region to US first then sign up a 1 month free DNS service with

Haaaa I got it now....thanks for the advice. Very much appreciate your explanation.

By the way, how much it will cost for a month?

USD2.08 is for the DNS service. To unblock region block.

Netflix is USD8.99 per month for new member. Free first month trial before you decide to pay up.

Hulu plus got paid version and free version.

So means 1 month about RM40 lah haha better than Astro I suppose

Thanks yar buddy

How is streaming from Hulu, Netflix on Unifi?

I have an Apple TV as well but most of the time I just use it to Airplay Plex on my TV only.

I don't subscribe to Astro so I am considering signing up for Netflix and the DNS option.

Can refer the earlier post....

Put this dns and activate your one month free Netflix using US Apple id

Enjoy.

Trust me with all that outdated movies and last season series, you wont be bothered to pay $8.99 to renew.

US apple ID? I don't have one, or I have to create one?

Outdated? Oh damn it.....bloody hell haha

Sorry if it didn't work for you.

Owh really? But how about the payment method as it doesn't accept malaysia credit card when you change the region.

When i want to pay i change country to Malaysia and pay using Maybank Debit Card, coz i do not have US credit card.

Sorry for keep confusing about this but I just want to clear this.

So now, in order for me get Netflix, I'll change the DNS and change my apple ID to US region to subscribe 1 month free access.

But after that, if you want to pay netflix or any other channel, you'll change your ID to M'sia region and pay it. Again, when you pay the subscription, you pay directly using apple tv directly or go to their website?

Have anyone of you try to subscribe iflix free trial? Well, I know Apple TV doesn't have it but still can be able to screen mirroring from Mac or any apple device tho.

Gonna try tonight at home will post some comment, meanwhile, speak up if you tried before.

Update: Ok guys....iflix sucks!

Siri on Fourth Generation Apple TV  will be restricted to just 8 countries (Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, Spain, the UK and the U.S).

Below are the difference on the Siri Remote for the 8 countries, and the other with what the company is calling the Apple TV Remote.

Then what is the point of getting it in Malaysia? doh.gif

A simple DNS change will allow you to use Siri anywhere in the world. It's just like Netflix only works in selected countries, but with a dns unblocker, we can watch it anywhere.
*
Yeah, actually I thought that too. But again, not quite convincing haha....anyway, let's see after it launched. icon_idea.gif

it's probably much simpler than that. ATV might just check which country your apple id from. If the address is in US, then you will have Siri on ATV4
