It can last, provided the contract use thicker cement.

It post danger for rookie worker, sometime they don't know may step on it and it break and fall. Especially A/C worker.

Can, some old school contractor use red brick, or even concrete. But take much longer time.

There is a case where the developer new housing use foam insulation sheet and cement the rest. So the owner want to install something like aircon and step on it. Crack and expose the foam sheet. Claim the developer cheating.

So who right or wrong?
1) the developer said this is only for decoration purpose and not neccessary to use brick and cement.
2) the owner claim is it cheating and inferior quality to reduce cost.

brick or reinforce concrete after plastering would look the same, but bricks will crack easier in long term

Bingo! It's not complicated once you have a closer look. The frames are very solid, just like any concrete tabletop. So far, I didn't hear any neighbour complained on the frames or any related accident happened. I have no idea on the charges as it's done by my developer, however I think it should be in the range of the concrete tabletop. Here is another picture, a closer view.

Ha..ha.. it looks like a townhouse? Actually it's a 2 1/2 storey Semi-D. You see, the 3rd Floor isn't a full floor, so it's 1/2 storey there. smile.gif

yes, so far still feel there are solid because sit and stand on it no problem....but hope in future wont crack lar like one of the forumer said...

Added on January 11, 2012, 10:04 amAlthough doing frame using brick and concrete is solid, but it have to depend on the contractor/workers workmanship....they have to plaster straight...if not the frame will look ugly...

My neighbourhood is about 5-6 years old, (as the developer built then sell) and I moved in last year. Noticed a lot of maids/general workers like perching on the frame while cleaning. So, I don't think it'll crack easily kua..

I hate people sit or stand on the frame......make my frame dirty nia.....but usually when people see the frame, they sure will sit or stand on it when necessary
