Rooted apps market is a good idea.
Anyway, I got to test data on the phone as my data recently got activated.

Full bar download @ 8mbps on maxis.
No issues at all.

I've pretty much stopped tinkering with my phone in terms of flashing new firmwares. I need my phone for work, lol.

But all I can say is that its rock solid and no issues.
But I'm on 2.3.6 with speedmod kernel.

@positron , the SoC perhaps causing the issue?
What about other devices using the same SoC?

@Positron, u can try the G nexus. It uses TI chipset, but not sure if its the same one.

Moto razr I think uses same as 9100G.

Yeah, I'm waiting for a stable non-wipe release of ICS to flash. Can't afford time to reinstall everything.

If flashing kernel, do nandroid backup + titanium better.
But I've never had problems flashing kernels though.

Please don't use 'clear memory'. It will stop all content delivery to widgets and apps.

Please, don't do it, because the memory management has already been set to be efficient.
Download android system info and go check memory management, those are the kill levels and android is very efficient at that nowadays. If you want to increase the threshold you can, but leave the lowest 3 levels at that.

If you're afraid of the lack of available memory, use the BACK button to exit apps. This isn't the iphone, the home button is for multitasking. Don't use home to 'exit' apps. It's bad practice on ANY android device.

Personally I have used this since May '11 and never had to touch the LMK levels at all.
Just remember, back is the way, not home. smile.gif

Change from 3G to 2G only,

No, that won't happen.
You need to install titanium again, then backup. Else transfer the backup to your computer, move back in after and restore.

Thats reason for nandroid and titanium are different.

nandroid is when system has issues, titanium is for apps and data restoration.
