The silicon part that is open is only a tiny part of the whole package. After using it for so long, I'd say no. The silicon part that is visible has become smooth. I always carry my phone in my pocket. I never leave it on table when outside.
Added on January 13, 2012, 4:27 pmemz, none? Maybe matte, but it defeats the AMOLED screen.
I rather it be oily and just wipe. Oh ya, if u can, find those cases that will auto clean ur screen when u keep the phone in. Very useful, as I've found one of my work pants has the material. Come out always very clean.

Well, the cutout for the 3.5mm is damn big, I don't see why there is an issue.
Furthermore, there is one area that is flanged off towards the back to accomodate the 90 degree plugs. I don't see why it'd even remotely affect a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Added on January 13, 2012, 5:00 pmIn addition, after prolonged use, i still don't see dust on the silicon. Dust however do pile up at the cutouts. Which is understandable. Also I think more crud piles up at the corner of the screen.
