Using stock firmware for G model.....
If update firmware 2.3.6 stock i heard that data in phone memory might get wiped out.....

Did anyone try updating without backing up and check if any data on phone memory get wiped out....haha

How about like contacts and messages on phone memory i worried those get deleted when updating.....

contacts can be saved by exporting to your phone memory and syncing with google.

sms can use SMS Restore app

well..SP can help prevent scratches.

Gorilla Glass is only resistant and not scratch proof. my advice is stop testing your luck, you'll cry if it scratches whistling.gif

i have a widget which can see amount of active application.
is the widget cause lag  in scrolling application menu too?

Yeah i think thats the one. The one with the colorful bar and number of active app at the side. Culprit to cause lag in TW. Remove that widget.

Is it on stock rom and kernel. Never heard of this one, unless on some custom rom/kernel that have this bug.

tried.....
the homescreen transition is still not that smooth especially from the last page to the 1st page....
the application menu scrolling still will lag after several continous scroll.....may be my expectation is too high for s2.....
might b firmware issue....

Well your problem is strange than. TW is suppose to be super smooth as it utilizes the GPU. hmm.gif Hard to imagine your lag unless got some kind of video...

btw,it is smooth when i restart phone every time(ram 300).....
but after use for sometime(ram 500)....the lag will appear....
the lag is just certain page to page transition not that smooth.
overall it wont affect the performance of the phone.....just visual effect not that nice.... i hate to see that (that prob shouldn't happen in such high end device).....

Well a few things you can do, exit all application properly. If you want to check if lag is cause by any widget, when it start to lag, delete widget one by one to see if it solves it. If empty home screen also lag then its strange. rclxub.gif

but widget shouldnt cause lag issue in application menu, right?
because the issue is more obvious and frequent in application menu than home screen.....

Hi guys,
I have been experiencing random shut off from my samsung galaxy s2 g version i9100G model. For your information, i did not root or used any custom rom. And my phone is on 2.3.6 android version. Anyone knows how to deal with this problem? Any advised and suggestion is greatly appreciated. If anyone has the same problem, please share how you handle it. Thanks
