To Jalan Besar:
From Woodlands MRT Station, take the Marina Bay-bound train to City Hall.
Once at City Hall, take the Pasir Ris-bound train to Lavender.
To go to the stadium, just follow the crowd! JBS is just 10-mins walk away.

Another alternative;
From Larkin Bus Terminal, take SBS Bus No. 170.
Go thru' checkpoints then alight at KRANJI MRT.
From Kranji MRT, go to City Hall then Lavendar. (See above).

To go back from JBS,
From Lavender, go to City Hall.
From City Hall, go to Kranji.
From Krangi, take 170 back to Larkin.

Another faster alternative;
If I'm not wrong, near Bugis MRT, which is one station away from Lavender,
there is Singapore-Johore express buses.
So you don't need make the one-hour train trip to Kranji to go home.
Just take express bus and relax, go to checkpoints and go home.

Added on January 14, 2012, 10:46 amNo Kedah fans to make predictions? Any chances it's a full house at Alor Star tonight?

Added on January 17, 2012, 7:33 amThere's confirmation last night that for the second game in a row, the Lions home game is a sell-out.

KL can expect a roaring full house at the JBS tonight!

Yeah, it is possible.

S-League game starts at 7.30PM, ends by 9.30PM. Assuming you are traveling by MRT and bus, the journey is around 45 mins to Woodlands KTM.

Refer to www.gothere.sg, it is a free mapping website that is widely used by Singaporeans. In the search box, just type "Yishun stadium to Woodlands Checkpoint" and follow the directions given.

Updated.

For the benefits of Harimau Muda fans, I have updated a new section on how to get to Yishun stadium as well. Do spend some time reading them, feel free to ask me any questions.

Interesting, it is cheaper to travel by car than take public transport.

By car, 20 mins travel: Not including Malaysian petrol
Toll - S$1
Carpark rates - S$4
S-League adult ticket - S$5
Total: S$10 or RM24

By public transport, 1-hour travel: Fares estimated
Woodlands checkpoint to Stadium - S$3.80
Stadium to Woodlands checkpoint - S$3.80
S-League adult ticket - S$5
Total: S$12.60 or RM30.24

Now imagine the costs if you carpool with even more friends.

S-League fixture list will be out after CNY. And games will start less than two weeks thereafter. "Top 10 League in Asia" eh? After the dust settle on the Etoile saga, now we don't even know if our dear Deputy CEO will still be around for the first kick-off of the season.

Lucky Singapore Die Hards like myself have our fix of MSL football.

HAPPY CNY!

I reckon it will be another sell-out match for the Lions, esp since it's a weekend. I hope our strikers will be back by then, then we will have another cracking match at JBS. From what I observe, Away teams do not enjoy playing at the Lions' Den. We have alot of off-the-ball incidents, and opposition players playing at the flank near the Gallery Stand tend to get intimidated by the 12th Man.

Turtle fans coming? Kelate made their presence felt at the Gallery stand, so did KLFA faithful with a brave handful at the Grandstand.

Ah, see you there then, looking forward to the match already! I am hoping at least one MSL side can at least used up their allocation of the tickets to spice up the JBS atmosphere even further.
