Thanks..
but somebody said xperia cannot make video call?? nevermind, i'll survey at the market itself
*
it can make video call but u need apps to use it like skype or tango. i myself is using SE Xperia Neo. its quite ok. the camera is sharp. in terms of browsing is ok. the screen size is alright. but the internal memory for phone is quite limited with its 320mb. even if u have app2sd to move ur apps to ur sd card. it has a single core processor 1ghz. it do sometimes get laggy if u have mutiple apps turn on simultaneously. overall, its nice if u r within below 1k budget

Added on May 29, 2012, 3:13 pmbetween SGS2 adn SGS Note, which one is better?

coz i like to install lots of apps, i like to take pictures and videos, i like to browses excessive the internet. which one is preferred? and what is the lowest price u can get around in KL? i know both can be upgraded to ICS but which one is the most suitable?

Their main difference is only the screen, u need to test out yourself.
For S2, get non-G AP set.

What the difference between G and Non-G??? why is Non-G better???

Pros of G vs non-G:
-Better battery life
-Got white version.

Cons of G vs non-G:
-Slower processor
-Some probs such as camera freeze prob
-Will get updates slower
-Samsung might not work really hard to do bug fixes as only a small portion of S2 in the world are G
-Very few custom ROMS

Dunno got some more or not hmm.gif .

how to determined if the SGS is a non-G or G? is there any indicator like coding or something? physically

Very few users here, but the video tests seem good.

Can consider Motorola Defy+.

1. Brand (HTC/Samsung) - ori version
2. Budget (max 1.6k)
3. Specs. (At least: 1GB Ram, 5/8MP Camera - as long as good pic quality)
4. What you need in the phone (good battery life, minimum lag, use mainly on entertainment purpose - music, web browsing, video watching, preferably easy social network integration)

probably some would suggest sgs2 since the price drop to the budget range but now ori all sell g version only. so any other recommendation?

thanks in advance.

Maybe u can check it out Lazada for Samsung Galaxy S2 i9000. its within ur budget. i think SGS2 is the best choice. smile.gif

does it support tango, skype and viber applications?
*
all android support these apps. the only difference is the connection speed. most android phone support 7.2Mbps as their standard connection speed. others support until above that. if u prefer only free internet call, any android phone is ok. if u want to have video call feature, u need a phone with front cam and a descend connection speed. but remember that connection speed differ accordingly to ur service provider coverage. if u want to have a descend conversation, u must have a HSDPA connection represent by the symbol "H" right beside the signal bar of the phone

S2 non-G Version. that the best out there in terms of functionality. There's also Xperia Arc but no front cam.

U can try the Xperia family
Xperia Neo / Neo V
Xperia Arc / Arc S
Xperia S
Xperia P
Xperia U
Xperia Pro

all I think is viable for ICS upgrade.

All have good camera quality and sound quality due to its a Sony phone.

Hi,

These are my needs:

I want an android - check email, whatsapp, browse a bit, GPS

A nice ebook reader
Because of my budget, I'd like to get a Samsung android which is not too expensive plus a Kindle fire.

So I was thinking of Samsung Galaxy Y Duos plus a kindle fire.

Otherwise, if I'm not getting a Kindle fire (still not sure if its good), I'd just get a Samsung S2. (so that I can read on it)
What do you recommend?
*
How much is ur budget?? if around 1k maybe u can squeeze for S2 non-G 2nd. its a good phone with large screen size. with AMOLED screen, u'll have a better clarity to reead and everything

Brand: prefer Sony/HTC/Samsung
Budget: below 1k(prefer around 800sth)
Spec: screen size at least 3.5", processor at least 1ghz(prefer dual core), RAM at least 512MB
will use the phone to facebook, surf internet, watch youtube, listen music, play games(would like to install asphalt 6 adrenaline), GPS navigation..

had considered a few option: sony xperia U, sony xperia sola, htc one V.. not sure about samsung smartphone at tis price range with the above spec..

can anyone give some opinion? thanks..  smile.gif

if ur looking for a pristine youtube experiences, i suggest sony phone coz it is made for entertainment. coz im using Xperia Neo, the camera is good, the speed is ok eventhough its a 1 ghz single core processor and the all the youtube, fb, tweeter etc run smoothly. juz got it upgraded to ICS. a bit laggy but other than that, its all good. if u want a more stable platform, have a look for samsung phone like s2. eventhough s2 is quite an old model, its the best there is. rustic but big in functionality.
