My younger bro wanna get an Android phone, but he wants s2, s3 coming soon. Any recommendation? No nexus, Coz I'm using one.
HTC one? note? Xperia? But more comfy with Samsung.

(I'm reposting this from the Android general questions thread, since it may e better suited for this thread)

Hi guys  smile.gif

I'm thinking of finally buying an Android phone but one of my biggest concern is that the phone that I chooes won't be updated to the latest Android version by the phone makers.

So I guess my question is, will I be able to buy a fairly decent Android phone (e.g. SGS 2, Xperia S, Galaxy Note or HTC One X) and install a plain version of the latest Android versions (i.e. the plain ICS on Galaxy Nexus)?

Then should the next version come (Jelly Bean?) will I still be able to install that version into the four phones I've stated?

I am not interested with the Galaxy Nexus purely because the camera does not meet my need of producing higher than average quality pictures, so if anybody would be able to give me their views I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!  smile.gif

Either note or nexus.
But note would probably be abandoned also.
as a nexus user, it's camera is not that bad. The lens are all it matters if you did some research about phone camera megapixel.
