i suggest we all do a full list of the model that have been bootlegged and maybe also where to buy it (coz people keep asking where) haha.

V3! Yeah we should compile a list of all the Brands and kits that have been released.

Now with new brands and new kits wig bloody amazing quality.

Added on January 3, 2012, 8:29 pmPG 00 raiser is a rumor. Mf_Yamato, you talked about it being released in March along with the MG Epyon. Where did u get this info from?

Nice suggestion.. but I think most people lepak here knows who to buy from already smile.gif so not necessarily to post .. and for others new 1.. they can ask any1 here because this is still a pirated kits.. dun be too aggressive.. later kena issue from BANDAI pulak.. we no more place to hangout!.. so hope every1 understand that..

I just found out that.. I think I might get my own kit for this RC Nightingale.. but bro, I found out that RC is not consider as pirated kit.. because they are a group of resin kit caster.. smile.gif just lately they want to make it into model kit.. Regulation Centre has already been in the market for quite awhile..

well, correct me if I'm wrong.. smile.gif but anyway.. I really will support RC and MC Model.. and ofcause not to forget TT Hongli or now consider as GoGo haha..
I've got some news on the new Brand also.. that will make a few others new MG but after 101% confirmation, than I will release the news LOL.. cheers..

I don't think it's finished yet. That may just be the prototype.

Oh and news from my supplier is that pirated kits are going up in price this year because of the CNY/UsD inflation. sad.gif

And preorder price for the Nightingale is $70 usd

What's wrong with Model GD? my kits look alright!

Anyway, word from my supplier is that Daban is the new brand name from TT Hongli. So then I believe the plastic quality is the same or maybe better.

Personally I don't mind if the plastic is crap or good, as long as it looks good.

i got the Model GD Gaia and it was horrible.. the parts have extra plastic hanging off it.. and everything didn't snap together properly.
when i finally got it done, put lots of glue on it and it still feels really flimsy, and it can't stand properly.. maybe that was one of the older Model GD kits.. but it was quite a nightmare for me..

I could say that this year 2012 is the year of pirates kits!.. Hell Yeah!...

I forsee Blue Frame is also coming out soon!.. hahaha... Damn good strategy DABAN.. my supplier tells me that there're total of 4 new models from DABAN.. well, we know 2 already.. than I forsee will be blue frame and the last 1.. dunno yet keke..

The Sazabi 1/144 looks ok to me.. I just finish reviewing my SAZABI.. the first pirated kit I build for 2012 biggrin.gif

I hope so too, and would love to have a Heavy Arms too, even though it ain't out yet.

And it seems that way. The evolution of TT Hongli:
1. TT Hongli
2. GaoGao
3. GoGo(who focus on resin kits made into plastic kits)
4. Daban(new super high detail kits!)

Dragon Momoko-First detailed pirate company! Seems like others have caught up. Lol, is this the new Little White Dragon Brand?

STK-Came out of no where. But released real detailed Zoids kits! Whoo!

Model GD(GHD)-around the age of TT Hongli. Seems like due to it's low quality kits, they've created a bad name for themselves. It's a game though, they have some kits out there that other brands don't have. PG Strike + variants, MG Eing Zero custom(ages ago before TT did), MG Crossbone(no one has made this kit, and most importantly the 1/144 Meteor(Monster kit, but sucks since it's a super old mold from them). Would be good if they step up in their game and redo the molds for their kits an build up a better rep. Good thing they started to re release the Meteor again though.

Yeah GoGo concentrates on the resin conversions and makes plastic kits.

Daban is making pirated kits that have really high detail.

i advice don't take Model GD/GHD.. so far my experience with it has been bad.. good for if you're ready to do A LOT OF WORK like asfarudy just said..
ESPECIALLY for PG.. because if you regret, already too late because u spent a lot on it biggrin.gif

GHD has always been bad in quality... a well-known fact in the world of pirated gunpla.

For the water-slide decal in TT Sinanju, you have to try it yourself... if I am not mistaken, the water-slide comes with the kit is only for the emblem on the chest, wrist and knee... it takes some skill to apply water decal on those places and if you are not planning to use any top-coat after applying, you better forget about using water-decal as it would surely fall off when you play with it. I personally colored the emblem with gold wink.gif

I will not waste my money on that.. smile.gif My supplier ever give me a HG Hyaku Shiki from Bendi.. it's like building a gundam using supa glue.. haha..

Well bro, what I've commented up there was just my own opinion.. maybe you won't face the problem much and u enjoy the whole process of constructing the kits. I'm a lazy guy.. and maybe others also lazy.. coz over spoon feed by Bandai's good quality. haha thumbup.gif

well, the bandai one, have Bandai logo on the box,
and the others have pirate company logo.

+ the details is nt very good on bootleg bt some maybe on par with the original.
and not kit tht bandai released have been copied.

for example, theres not yet a HG of Hi Nu being released by bootleg company,

- they have the modded version or mecha that Bandai didnt make (McModel Gundooms, RC Nightingale)
- for my own modding. Quite pricey to sacrifice Bandai kit for that purpose tongue.gif

Nice list!

But missing some. Model GD also has 1/144 Meteor!, MG Wing Zero(? Either Wing or Wing Zero, need to double check) and the MG Crossbone VerKa.

Where's GoGo model? And the kits under Logo that looks like TT, aren't they BT Model kits?

Guess we can add more to the list.

Model GD has some pretty good MG kits that TT and other brands don't have. Just wish their quality was better.

Also GHD have the PG Skygrasper as a separate kit.

TT also have more variations of the Zaku II. Chars, White Ogre and the other white Zaku(Phantom Blaze or something).

Chow Kit now only Toybox still active. But their stocks always sold out within 1 or 2 days. Need to constantly check. Also, only Ah How will give about 30% off.
JiaYang = nothing for more than 1 year. FuYang = closed.
Times Square = only 2 shops. 1 at 5th floor, near McD. Another 6th floor, Graffiti Hobby ??I think. Both very limited stocks and normal price.
Pudu Plaza LG floor = limited stocks, minimal discount (5, 10% only)
So far, still LYN sellers cheapest thumbup.gif

I think it's a good will to help others and yes!.. I know every1 also wanna buy cheap gunplas.. as we all know that in LYN thread here, all bros and sista is very helpful 1... so it's better to advice new people who want to know the place to buy PM the regulars here. i doubt it.. HWS is HG while Hi.Nu EVO is MG.. actually evo is a bit bigger than MG Hi Nu as well

oh the mcmodel one is not EVO.. hi-nu EVO is from GoGo which is 1/100
but the mcmodel Hi-Nu is also almost MG size.. here's a review with comparisons at the end with all the HG Nu

I think the wing effect is the only difference. Different price maybe due to ppl goreng the price of first batch

Btw kind of mod i'm doing with the pirated gunpla now

theres one more different.
the first edition, the white plastic, is white, bt the batch after the 1st edition has a creamy white plastic color.

dont know why they do that. this is frm my friends that has bought the Gundoom itself. so, better buy the 1st batch if u are going for McModel kits. biggrin.gif

i can verify this since i got the 2nd or 3rd batch. its cream/greyish color. not white at all. quite disappointed so i decided to paint it when i got the time. doubt its gonna look nice if straight build.

by the way, GoGo hi-nu evo, read some good reviews. any1 finished the kit already? how is it compared to MC Hi-nu?

so its because of the design itself that it became a brick! haha.

RC is a resin kit company, and that psycho gundam ver. MH and Throne Eins Turbulenz is a resin kit and resin addon.
so its not technically the first plamo from them.

bro, mcmodel is better then TT hongli in detail wise, bt the plastic is more stronger in TT hongli.
khabar angin say Daban is better then TT Hongli.

then there is also Gogo, that is "maybe" on par with mcmodel.
inb4 RC came in 2 weeks with Nighty that is better then all the others.

Yea it would be hell colouring this one, like you said, trade of sangokuden line. smile.gif

I'd be happy to colour some parts myself since i feel that it is a lil abit too colourful for a villain-like character.

@devilrider if you fail topcoating, you can always remove and redo it with lacquer thinner

after all, all top coat can are lacquer base

coz i sked to resand it and lose my decal.
so i thought just leave it there. sweat.gif

and im actually using clear/gloss industrial spray can topcoat,
because flat is quite expensive.
what i did is spray it quite far from the parts, and make the spray go kinda "mist".
dont know how to explain this. haha. then it will have a "rough" texture.

overall i really going rage to assembling this with a cutter, tamiya paints and a knife only.... some parts really badly molded and some parts the connecting pegs are distored or off badly makes me rage and end up i cut all pegs like a boss then use UHU glue to stick it liek a boss.

paint i use hand paint and my skill really like cheapo factory china man....and the first later paint really does looks sucks as nyosan mentioned before i think the paint is not stick on it so wait it dry and quick paint 2nd or 3rd layer of same colour paint for it. paint too much stroke will melt the 1st layer paint and revert back to first stage.... doh.gif

and the manual instruction really messed me inside out..... really need to read 5-10 times to understand what is it meaning.

more of that some parts really cant snap properly and i had to cut the peg again and wipe a thick layer of UHU glue again and stick it XD
some parts i cut a big "wound" to allow it to put on it... the bottom part.

got mod skill, normal one is enough... do some trimming job will make this kit nice.... since it is not moving part then glue all of it if you confirmed to not dissemble it later

tamiya enamel paint X series...forget number haha... got pink, white, and gunmetal grey (XF something).... end up i buy 2 pink paint actually manage use like 20% only...40ml tamiya thinner really use a lot since i use for washing brushes...ya i split it 2 days for painting...i paint in my shop so when the shop close i and to follow parents back too... =x

If the PG Red Frame is coming out, then will the PG 00 Raiser come out later too?

No BIG ASS NIGHTINGALE. Already held back on it, as 1 it's too big, and 2 I just bought a SD Nightingale a few weeks before the announcement.

These couple kits are GN Arms type E and HiNu EVO along with some supplies. Maybe Epyon or MG Red Frame, depending on which is better.

a bootleg company.

kene tipu a bit coz usually that bootleg MG Strike + IWSP is rm75 to rm80.
rm110, add rm40 more and u can get the original one bro. biggrin.gif

hmm but they're mostly mr. hobby brand i believe? i'm not sure if those will give this type of effect. haha

My supplier has just confirmed that Daban has confirmed that the MG 00 Raiser is coming out. Should be released halfway March, so Ill prob get it a week later!

And once PG comes out, Ill grab it too.
