Hi, I'm new to the whole overclocking scene so bare with me pls smile.gif
My specs are as followed:
Processor - DualCore E5300 2.6Ghz
Cooler - CM Hyper 48
Mobo - Asrock G41M-S
PSU - CM 500W Extreme Power Plus
GPU - Sapphire HD4850
Ram - 2gb Kingston 800Mhz

I've tried overclocking my E5300 from 2.6 to 3.0 by just changing the FSB from 200>230, with x13 multiplier, locked. Everything's stable, temps are good, abt 45degreeC under load. Throughout the overclocking process I've been using prime95 ofcourse.

So I tried pumping more, fsb at 234 had rare occasions of hanging, and 237 just crashed most of the times, eventhough I increased my Vcore by 0.1-0.2V, also my temps were still gd at those fsb clocks. So I just went back to 230 with stock Vcore. My ram is 2:1 with my proc, running at 460mhz.

So can somebody consult me on how to further push my system?

Nvm, I've did more research and is now incorporating the effects of ram in my overclocking stage. Thread closed
