Anyone thinking of getting the TX once it is out? I think the TX is really nice with the screen extending to the very edge. Especially so with the on-screen button disappearing when viewing movies and pictures. Plus it can switch location depending on how we hold the phone.
*
what is the price?, hope not at same level with the quad core phones..

but the camera look promising , is it able to match sgs 3 camera and screen quality?

quite pricey, not too far with one x and sgs 3 and why they not come out jb out the box...

got interested with xiaomi m2 also..the spec almost matched with sgs 3 ,smaller screen (same like arc) and camera
mp only...but the best is part , the price is a round 1k+ sikit and come out with jb...

btw, i wana ask bout rom, current im using ice bean rom, say if the developer release an update, do i ned to do everythg from the beginning like factory setting->wipe dalvis cache->install rom from sd or i can skip n go straight to install from sd?

Added on September 3, 2012, 5:38 pmbtw guys, is it safe if i oc to 1600mhz?

Added on September 3, 2012, 5:44 pm

ow i just read few post back,

-1) i wonder how u oc n get till 1.8ghz coz my setcpu app max only at 1.6ghz

-2) u said u forgot to change back to 1ghz, does it mean min cpu is set at 1.8ghz?
*
No need, just do dalvic cache...

Some kernel are allowed to oc till 2.0 ghz....
Base on the governor you set the cpu will always at max when got some load...

bro shahrul, wana ask u something bout custom rom, currently most custom rom has this build [.587] base.. what is that? how do i know my phone is oredy 'that'?

ok currently im using this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1786871

say if i wana change to this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=30946069
can i do it? or i ned to flash something else b4/other than factory reset->dalvic cache->instal rom.
*
587 is the latest official ics update from sony/google.. got minor problem fix and baseband update also..
you can check at setting/about phone/build number...

looks like two different set of rom but from same dev..recommend to do full wipe...but you can try do dalvic wipe only and see ...do nandroid back up first before proceed..

So do i ned to update the 587 update first only then can flash the new rom or can just proceed to install? Btw i always wondering how to use nandroid backup, wat s it actually?
*
nandroid backup is fully backup your system and files..it will your life saver if your phone got bootloop after flashing new rom or mods....at cwm you should find back up and restore under advance menu..

you can straight flash the rom...

so the process shud be nandroid backup->factoryreset/wipe->dalvic cache->install rom ? right?

Added on September 5, 2012, 12:46 pmow btw 1 more thing bro, ever since my first flashin rom, my phone model no become LT18i, iinm my original arc is LT15a.. my question, the developer recommend a different kernel, in which if i wana change it i have to also flash it's wifi module.. the problem is it got to module, for arc s and for arc.. so which 1 shud i choose?

Added on September 5, 2012, 12:48 pmhere is the link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1838916
*
correct...i think both arc and arc s using same kernel ,module and rom also..because both using same hardware only cpu been oc for the arc s..

about the phone model name you can change back to LT15a, the simplest way edit using ROMToolbox ,can get from market..

If still can access Cwm you can redo the flashing, or flash to official rom using flashtool

note 2 using the same proc (but clock a bit higher)as s3 which is base on benchmark loss to krait dual core..

for me 5.5 screen size to big a hp, so a no for me  tongue.gif , also always love sony design compared to samsung. just hope the build quality from sony will be muc improve for their future product.
*
Quad core phone is a market gimmick only to seduce geek and techy people to buy it.... Currently dual core already more than enough to deliver sufficient performance n gud battery life.. Proven by dual core s4 krait already..

Sony already improved their quality through latest Xperia line although most of them got almost same design..

Agreed with you guys note is too big for a phone...tested S3 or one x already muat2 in my pocket sweat.gif

A lil' help.
Finally decided to unlock bootloader after a year using Arc. Lulz! sweat.gif

Tried to flash a custom ROM into my Arc.
1st attempt was the Jelly Sandwich 5.0 + ArcKnight Kernel.
Phone keep on restarting.
After doing some research, it seems like the kernel was not compatible with the ROM (although it was recommended and provided in the thread. doh.gif )

Then I'm off to my 2nd attempt which was Jelly Sandwich 5.0 + DoomKernel.
This time the phone starts and performed well. But with ni WIFI. shocking.gif
Flash the WIFI module multiple times with CWM, but no luck.

And earlier morning, I flashed Ice Bean X 4.3 with DoomKernel, still no WIFI after reflashing the module. hmm.gif

Update : Flashed XArc kernel and wifi module, still doesn't work.

Any help? icon_question.gif
Thank you. notworthy.gif

what your last rom, gb or ics ...if from gb need flash official ics rom(latest 587) first through flashtool...maybe you got baseband issue...
