My left neighbor is renovating now, I saw she have some old wood door, is so dam nice, the grain is superb, and color are very even. We don't get this kind of wood now.
Can still get nowadays, must ask for grade A timber door. But not all places carry them.

I been searching for wooden door in many place, even Grade A don't have such old grain. These day, the wooden door are made of young wood. Grain are not "deep". Grade A door is define as near matching color  between wood block and slightly more grain. Grade B have must higher color variation in each wood block and have lighter grain.

Old wooden door really have good grain because it use natural old wood, and the wood are also aged before use.

You got any picture of door with old grain? Curious to see how it looks like.

What do you think of the grain in this door:

its just me dat i dont like light doors... plastic, aluminium, zink, plywood

Don't get the cheap aluminium type, there is a heavier gauge type which feels sturdy. But the cost will be like solid wood door (without the problem of moisture and wood expansion).

Door is about 1.5" thick (same like normal wooden door). This was made by a supplier of shower screen and fittings here in Perak. Sorry no links.

But try to contact some makers of shower screens.

Aluminium frame with frosted glass panels?
Yea, guess that looks better than PVC.
Thing with translucent glass is that the light can shine through. Not always desirable especially if it is an attached bathroom.

Yes.

In my case I prefer it with the light coming through. The good thing is if someone wants it otherwise can easily substitute the frosted glass with something else which is opaque.
