hi sifu out there...this may be a popular question or many people would know it but i seriously want some answers..

im driving a wira 1.5(A)...my problem is what are the steps to make my car have better acceleration or pick-up..

example...when i am going up hill, if the momentum is smooth then it will be very good power..but less say suddenly i need to slow down and accelerate again...my engine will have totally no power...and having the "klak klak klak klak" sound...(hope you know what i mean)..

what are the things that make a car accelerate? what can i mod in order to have better pick up...

the feeling is like when u step on the pedal its very loose...like no power...sigh...

i hope you get my question and i know this is noob but im a newbie..

your klak klak klak sound should be from the gearbox if not mistaken. If your wira is 3 speed auto shitty gearbox like mine.. then you hardly can improve any acceleration.. its because of the gearbox.. not the engine..

This is just my opinion.

You want 5 letters or 3 letters on power?

If 5 letters is MIVEC and if 3 letters is BOT.

But both of this will be a 4 letter word to you which is BOMB....ain't cheap..

Auto can't do much one laaa....get a manual and have fun with it shifting the shaft....

Either bolt on turbo or bolt on supercharger. You can use back your old engine. No jpj inspection required.

There is nothing much you can do with that car. Dont spend money modding it. I still have it in my family. Normally drive by my mom. So no need what so ever performance. If you looking for performance, better change car.

erm...i dont think ah beng car means can go very fast lo..haha...normally is got sound but cannot move...

so what should be done??

Some Ah Beng car are really fast.

to me the 3 speeder acceleration is normal for a road car..but the top speed is bad..no od ratio..so at 130-140 ur engine gonna scream like hell.

The improtant thing going to change your existing rims from 15 or 14" please change to 13" with compatible tyre then your accelerate should be increase of more than 50% with light padel feel.

simple steps to upgrade power is to change to iridium spark plug, change a high flowing stock replacement filter, clean your throttle body and pump more air inside your tyres...

Need to check the condition of the turbo. Looks.......

I think reduce weigh should be added to the list

i think reduce weight is quite impossible as u will be sacrificing comfort...but well, if you dont travel far u can ditch the spare tires, as for others things better dont touch such as rear seats, carpet and insulation etc etc...

Simple weight reduction. Lighter rims/ wheels. Thin spare tyre. And drivers weight.

polish and wax the car will make ur car faster

Not to splash cold water but seeing u driving an old junk, i would rather work hard so i can trade off this old junk n get a better car.Even a new saga 1.6 should suit ur needs.

the gearbox is the culprit.anything else will be useless with the 3 speed box still in. change to manual. even 1.3 manual is more satisfying than 1.5 auto

1st of all, how much you willing to spend to get the improvement?

Like changing to 4G18 component and everything will cost about 4k to gain around 15hp. Some people will do it while other will feel too much money to spend for little gain..
