I have no idea bro i guess i was eating too much? Ahahaha. I find it easy to start losing weight, hard to maintain losing weight  sad.gif

Just keep continue whatever you are doing man. But do remember, when you lose the fat, you need to check your maintenance calorie. Fat do contribute to your BMR and when you lose the fat, your BMR will be slightly lower hence you will start to stall on losing weight. Btw, what is your current bf%?

Sorry for the poor quality, self shot is not easy lol. And yes, I know, delts and traps can be better sigh............

That is good man. The delts are big but you traps are small. You didn't do any traps work before? And as -Dan said, more chest.

I wanted to, but its' hard to take a decent pic of your own quads!! hahaha!  biggrin.gif

I dunno about the BF, the last time I got it done I was around 9% (confirmed with Tanita BF tracker and caliper measurements as double check) back last year when I was lifting in the AM and running in the pm (training for StanChart). Was also around 7-8kg lighter tho lol.

Even then abs didn't really stand out that much on photos as I'm too pale haha. Need a tan srs. I can still see the outline of the individual abs 1st thing in the am and even in the gym so I figure 13% but even if I'm 15% doesn't really bother me.

I do some trap work but not easy to bring em out. Also, the angle kinda sucks - my traps are a lot more prominent if you view from the back. They're defo not a strong point but wouldn't call it my worst part either.

Currently shoulder routine involves Front delt work (Overhead DB pressing, plate/DB raises)
Side delt work (lat raises)
Trap work (shrugs)

Thinking of switching up to DB upright rows tho since I do shrug pretty heavy with not much real results. Currently doing 80lbs a side shrugs for 8 reps but doesnt seem to bring the traps out a whole lot.
*
Maybe this video can teach you a bit on how to shrug properly. I've noticed big improvements on my traps when I do like Vics advice

Progress? Meh, I dunno. Lats are still non-existent. Need more shoulders & traps too. Chest as well. Though on a positive note, arms have grown. Left is still smaller, but catching up slowly.

And I saw your video doing DB Row with a 100lbs dumbbell and still no visible lats? Kind of weird right?

Lol..yes i do ..
though i don't quite dare to load em up well as i don't really have big traps to support.
but that's some good insight. thanks.

i'll bring my matter to other threads and post up some pics later here...

thanks mike.

My first exercise is squat man. You don't need to have big traps to put the barbell on. But do remember this tip, pinch your shoulder blade together. This will tighten your trap and make it a good strong base for resting the barbell on. For the mobility issue, some powerlifter put their hands almost at the end of the bar (near the weight plates) where usually people will place their hands near the ring.

Try it man. If you go to the leangains website, you can see the result of doing IF and I say that those results are damn impressive.

1st - did u notice some bodybuilder their palms/tapak tangan face opposite direction?..for example left palm onward right palm inward...not compulsory but it will help alot.  icon_question.gif

2nd - body must also locked not at 90%angle maybe like 70-80 %...dont do like japanese says good morning kinda thing... notworthy.gif

after u done that...just go straight up..everything no.1st and 2nd must locked and follow...watch out for ur legs/knee cap especially, because barbell might hit ur knee cap...

once u like 90% up..tilt back/lean backward a little bit / like a flex ya back muscle again ur hands/arm must locked only use ur back./upper back.

Your first suggestion, the grip is just a matter of preferences. Underhand, overhand is just a preferences.

Yeah, i get what you mean. Im eating quite alot already. And my marco are alright. I just need the surplus of calories, carb, fats, protein and etc. Im on IF right now, 20 hours a day. So in the 4 hour window of eating, i can only take in as much as 1600 +- calories. I been wanting to try mass gainer to add more calories during the 4 hour window.
*
If you are on IF, the window should be 16 hours fasting and 8 hours feeding. Unless you have a very huge appetite, then you can go for the 20/4 ratio but if not, better stick to 16/8 ratio.

Thanks for the feedback. So far i haven't had the balls to scoop more than recommended scoops, takut ada side effect lak.
*
No, there shouldn't be a side effect unless increasing your mass is a side effect. More serving = more calorie. mass gainers didn't have any side effects IMO.

Yes you can ask what ever questions that you want but FYI, this is the Progress Pics thread and your question doesn't suit to be here and it will derail the thread if somebody reply your question. Try asking in the Bodybuilding Thread V11.

The level of squatting is good which is beyond parallel. What bothers me is that when you get out of the hole, after you hit a pause on your way up, you use your chest to go up instead of using the hips. You can see that transition from using your hip to using your chest (more obvious on the 4th and 5th set which shows that the form is breaking up).

Another one is that your knee is way in front of your toes. Some people do say that the knee shouldn't be that much in front but some people say it is ok.

Thank you very much! I will try to fix those things you pointed out. I also felt that I did not use my hip to push the weight up. Need a better muscle-mind connection next time.

This training was done fasted, with BCAA 10 mins prior to the squat. Currently following leangains style of diet.

Will post a video of deadlift after this, my deadlift form really sux.

*
Yeah. You'll start to see whether your form is actually correct or not when you are lifting heavy weight and now you know that you are using the chest to get out of the hole instead of the intended muscles which is the hip and other lower body muscle group.

If you are trying to fix both of the problem, I would highly suggest that you lower the weight especially when you want to fix the 'knee in front of toe' issue.

A lean bulk means to stick to a surplus close to your maintenance levels. Generally 10-20% above maintenance.

@whatdamn

Yeah, heavy is subjective. Kroc Rows is using heavy weight with high reps with rows that have more body english than normal row but you know this right?

@harris92

You can lay on something to make your body a bit elevated (like making deficit) so that the barbell touch your chest (if you want)

hey, remember that you once posted a picture of your 'friend' who still in great shape but didn't go to the gym anymore? You said that he just maintain his diet. Maybe you could take a few pointers from him. Anyway bata, don't be sad. Hopefully you'll be in better condition.
