my colleague 31yo earning around RM8.5k he said never declare cause monthly payslip company already deduct.
so income tax people will not come looking for him. is this true?

8,500 per annum no need to pay taxes

but 8,500 per month? man... your colleague is gonna be royally screwed by LHDN sooner or later

it's the accumalated penalties that will hurt most

hi newbies here...been working part timely for more than a year....salary less than RM2.5k no need declare income tax right?  thanks first

you NEED and MUST declare

but you don't have to PAY

since if you include the 8,000 personal relief on the chargeable income, and further 350 rebate, you'll end up with ZERO tax

must declare one

Easy in Malaysia, all your food, entertainment, cars, petrol, monthly bills claim own company. Make own company pay your self RM2k+
At the end, not much income tax to pay..

this is the hallmark of a newbie

if you have a sdn bhd / bhd company, then the company will have to pay the tax

if you have "enteprise" aka syarikat aka small business (sole propreitore), the earning will be your income, and you have to declare, even if you pay ourself only rm1/year

very noob la you...

and not ALL food, entertainments, cars, petrol aor any monthly bills can be claimed as expenses - i can go on and on and on, but this doesn't fir the thread's purpose
