Hi Guys.

Have u ever been using GPS on ur brand new and shiny Android Phone.
I highly suggest u all follow this guide.
My phone can lock in just few seconds after use this.
every ROM maker shud put this into their build if can.

Please install GPS Essential or GPS Status from market to check ur GPS Performance

Installation can be done using

1. CWM recovery
Just wipe cache/dalvik and install zip from sdcard
reboot

2. extract zip, and copy gps.conf into etc\ folder on ur phone root directory.

ive copied pasted the code...

but same as usual the GPS lock time..only sometimes its faster

mostly because of the phone hardware...not software i guess...

I'd say if it's not broken, don't fix it.

My Desire Z can lock within 10 seconds. I saw some GPS fix (the same gps.conf fix) few weeks ago and thought of maybe turbocharging it to make it lock within 1 second. Ended up after the 'fix' it took me more than 5 minutes, sometimes not even getting a lock until I restart the GPS. I tried undoing the 'fix' but the GPS was never the same.

It wasn't until I make a full wipe and reinstalled my ROM that I regained my 10 second GPS lock.

Only try this if your stock settings do not give you a reasonable GPS lock time.

no need. thats just for the content of gps.conf
u just use that flashable.zip on that link and flash using clockwork.

or also can extract gps.conf and put in folder etc\
(use root explorer )

u using data connection or just hard cold start.?

but this proven 3 of my phone..
maybe ur phone is already optimized by HTC.
but for custom ROMers, this really worthy.

^Nope. Even after EFS wipe also lock within 10 second. I'm on CM7. Forgot the details of first lock, but I'll try to pay more attention next time whether AGPS was enabled.

owh.. not sure. but my Atrix before this take sooooo long to lock. stock or custom ROM..
same.

Added on December 31, 2011, 12:07 pmme no data plan. so no help from A-GPS to lock.
depend entirely on satellite

I don't recommend to use my.ntp.pool.org coz the server is down and you won't get lock. use asia.ntp.pool.org instead. another thing.. .

u got more than 10 seconds, because some servers in the code don't work properly.
