Just curious, has anyone here upgraded the anti-roll bars in the gen2? If yes, what would be a good diameter? So far Ultra Racing seems to be riding high with good publicity. Would you recommend them?

QUOTE(fazron80 @ Apr 16 2012, 11:44 AM) Err why skip the header bro? That's where the real power is hidden. Or you're concern about the environment. The last batch of rxz also have catalyzers so some rempit guys out there in environmental friendly too. Was thinking it may affect the warranty as I still have one more year to go. This is considering that it removes the catalytic converter and also that it has some sensors in there. I may add it in if you guys say it is ok. I will definitely get the R3 version to complete the collection.

just test drove the preve. engine sounds very noisy... and loud! could be the CVT (much louder than the Exora CFE) but strangely, it doesn't feel very peppy for a turbo. this includes using the manual over ride and also engaging sport mode. strangely, my other car, a 207 feels much more peppy than the preve CFE. think i'll stick with my G2 CPS very happily.

QUOTE(Azuma-kun @ Apr 17 2012, 12:04 PM) First of all, do u know how to drive CVT? A lot of people doesnt know how to drive CVT, and it is noisy because of that When all of people saying that Preve is so damn quiet, u came out with noisy pulak hehehehe, i admit, no experience with cvt. just with conventional auto and manual. but maybe the demo car at glenmarie was not properly set-up. but it was really loud to me.

QUOTE(TripleJ104 @ Apr 17 2012, 07:17 PM) Huhuhu...sorry if offended u. Pug 207 is ok la to me....i also had the chance play with it. Quite impressive during zig zag & tried to outrun me. But still the skinny tyre let it down during high speed corners..later i got ahead from it. no probs. no offence taken but since i have both cars, i can compare them a bit lah. my gen2 manual will eat the 207 for initial acceleration and also hold the distance gained due to better road handling. but if it were rolling acceleration, the 207 has very strong mid range torque and can keep up with the gen2. top speed is about similar for both cars which is about 190kph plus. i have taken both car to about 195kph. both struggled to reach that number. they're both very comfortable up till about 170kph though. the 207 is softer in corners but holds surprising well. the gen2 handles well due to stiffer suspension but bounces quite a bit on straights due to the stiffness. comfort overall goes to the 207 but as a driver's car, the gen2 has a slight edge... now more so that i have the R3 cat back system will be even further ahead than the 207 when i upgrade to the R3 header by end of may. i use the gen2 as my weekend car though and the 207 as a daily drive due to the auto.

QUOTE(markiliz @ Apr 19 2012, 09:50 PM) got foglight at the back...i thought it's illegal meh? most european cars also have rear fog lights. very useful in heavy rain on highway. i plan to install for my gen2 also. i have found the correct original light switch already. now just need a wiring guy to fix it up. it is not illegal.

QUOTE(eastwest @ Apr 20 2012, 08:54 AM) I think there is one tyre called duraplus? or something... manufacture claim can last till 100k km... btw, my previous cc1 last almost 100k km.... 99k something ... duraplus is by goodyear and made for comfort and long mileage. don't think they mentioned much about good handling. by the way, i stand corrected guys. i did say that the preve was sluggish and noisy from my test drive a few days back with one of the showrooms in kl but when i tried the car again in seremban earlier today, it was the opposite. it was quite smooth, relatively quiet (at least quieter than my g2) and also had a decent kick. and up to 170kph, it handled like a gem even on fast sweeping corners. i played with the manual override and it was quite responsive. i only didn't quite like the rev limiter which changed up automatically even before (i think) the car reached its sweet spot.
wondering if the test car in kl was feeling a little under the weather that day.
the seat rails don't go far enough though. my friend (who is a little vertically challenged) couldn't get the seat to reach close enough to the front for her to reach the pedals! well, one sale lost there.
but then jumping back into my g2 cps manual, i think there's nothing quite like it. the preve is fine but i would still choose my g2 over it.

QUOTE(kobe10 @ Apr 23 2012, 11:18 AM) So expensive. Hahaha... Actually I fell in love with Civic Fd2 R and also Golf Gti... I prefer something big like waja... Polo gti macam terlalu kurus macam tak de makan tak gemuk.. Waja chubby chubby cute la. Hahaha... But budget abit.. Try to work hard this year see if i can get a better car. This CPS really open up my eyes what proton can do but the quality... May be only my car because in first place its already not that good when i get my car. i like fn2r! but am very happy with my g2 cps (m) now.
