Is Waja CPS a good car to buy?
Comments on the points below appreciated.
1. Engine reliability
2. Maintenance cost
3. Torque
4. Top speed
5. Stability
6. Handling
7. Interior quality
8. Audio system
9. Interior and boot space
10. Other parts reliability e.g. suspension, power window
11. Safety features
12. Spare parts availability
13. Resale value
14. Whatever else

Thanks!

1. Some of us already 100k km. Mine got overheat issue at 110k km, cost me around 1.6k to fix. FYI, I drove mine hard, everyday rev till more than 6k rpm before shift up (1st till 3rd gear).
2. same as other car
3. one advice, get the manual ver
4. 180++, after that it will still climbed, but sloooowwwww
5. hmmm....stock is more towards comfort. Changed mine to R3 sets 2 weeks after getting the car.
6. same as 5, but I add strut bars and use 16" rims.
7. same as other waja, but leather is great.
8. quite nice
9. nice thumbup.gif except a bit problem with the boot hinges.
10. power window no, but window glass dropping yes. Can prevent with silicon glue.
11. ABS+EBD, although mine doesn't work most of the time. They said pump problem.
12. no problem, lots of mods option too
13. not sure
14. Worth to buy at RM60k (last time, 2008) during that time, not much choice at this range except for persona and myvi. Don't like myvi lack of boot space and persona don't have cps.

CPS switch at 3.8k rrpm, VIM at 4.8k rpm. For Neo, CPS switch at 4.3k rpm.

From the picture, I can conclude that Malaysian are not ready for Turbo car. laugh.gif Looks like it hit something, potholes/road shoulder at the junction maybe.

from your post i can see you're putting the blame on Malaysians. come on la dude, we drive through potholes in our cars everyday, from other protons to tsi vw's also never kena until like that la
*
We do slow down when we see potholes, speed bump etc, but if you read those who do test drive the the preve, the test it like no tomorrow. Hitting potholes/speed bump and said felt solid even at 60km/h... because its a test drive and the car is not theirs.

Anyway, better wait for the real story.

Well, I can say he is correct. Most Malaysian dont know how to drive CVT and complains this and that about CVT, engine etc etc.
If u want to argue about the issue, please proceed to the particular thread, not here smile.gif

Just like people test drive dsg and complain jerking during traffic jam.
Btw, who is this forummer anyway? whistling.gif

4 by 8am ok wut lol......
if not wrong tis like duke exit to jln gombak sentul......

1st time  saw it i agreed on sphiroth...bcoz its a test drive car all bmp potholes lanyak....no respect to the car at all..and i can say most of the tester is not serious in getting thw car just to take an advantage to drive the car coz their doing marketing carnival and soo on...

i put a blame on the tester/driver...they shld treat the test car more careful....obviously the car hit sumthing...tis not happen on daily bcoz most of the owner will be more careful with their car...tis is testcar soo i bet the tester hit the pedal and slam all bump like shhiit!.....how come an aunty know how to handle a turbo car? i dont understant!.....

from my experience continental dealer wony allowed u to test untill like u place a booking...me experience it b4 at naza showroom..

What happen is: An SA try to avoid a car at120km/h, hit the curb/divider, and broke the tie rods <-sos from preve thread.

So that guy in the pic probably is the SA.

I see.. So the consensus is that the test drivers never take care of the cars when they test drive? Oh Kay.
*
If you browse around preve thread in any forum or youtube, you can see most of them thrash the car pretty hard. Doesn't mean that you need to drive slow because it defeat the purpose of doing test drive, but be respectful to the car and other passenger inside.

Nevermind la, I hope u guys can go to EA tomorrow at 4PM. Lepak there until close down. Can makan/minum at mamak nearby.
If not many cars, can ask Drex a lot of questions. If many cars, then can see how they do their work. U can learn something. Just like markiliz and I learned about myvi with stiff ring laugh.gif
*
Damn, the part when you mentioned about 'stiff ring' make it sound so wrong whistling.gif

Anyone know if we can tune CPS to activate earlier then the factory setting without a piggyback ecu? If can I want to tune it to activate around 3.5k rpm.
*
Imo, without reprofiled cam, its useless to change it.

Some SA doesn't take any effort of explaining and maybe also learning the new tech, some even said CPS=Mini Turbo and also IAFM=CPS. Once at the showroom, a customer asked the SA why the persona boot got 2 'bonggol' inside the boot (for suspension) not like vios, and the SA just cannot explain this is for better stability during cornering (multilink).

Really confuse with the bank negara policy. I applied loan for inspira 2.0 and also vw golf gti. Bank offered me 3.5% interest for proton while 1.8% for vw for the same amount that i borrow and also paying term. Bank Negara support ppl buy continental car?
*
Proton = poor people = high risk = higher interest
VW = rich people = low risk = low interest

i can't seem to get more than 360km - 370km for a full tank of about 35L. how on earth do i need to drive to get better mileage? even before i mod the engine, best i got was about 380km sad.gif i have tried pumping up the tyres, driving like a snail on the highway (90kph ~ 110kph) till even kancils and trucks overtake me and i still can't do better. funny thing is, the engine obd says i'm doing about 7.3L/100km. seems pretty far off from what i'm really getting. i've even tried changing gears below 4,000rpm.

any advice is most appreciated.
*

Changing gear early and driving slow doesn't always give you good fc. Eg changing gear before the max torque will drop the rpm outside the powerband, hence power loss.

Also remember, now weather is very-very hot, means that aircond is working more thus rob more power from engine.

Btw, tomorrow plan to do TB pnp and throttle pedal response adjust at dori-dori.
