A few things to check.
1) When stop and idling the engine, does the compressor cuts off? If yes, check the wiring, magnetic clutch
2) Air con or radiator fan, is it running at optimum speed. If running slow can cool the condenser, and only when driving fast the incoming air cool the condenser
3) Check whether refrigerant enough or not? If low on refrigerant gas it takes faster compressor speed to get the system cool

go to aircond shop let them check the aircond gas then only can know whats is the problem...

how old is ur myvi? ur aircond compressor got any noise o not?

my experience told me :

1.excessive aircond gas(if refilled recently)
2.insufficient aircond gas (long time din check)
3.aircond system starting to stuck/block(long time /never service)
4.Compressor weak/about to kong (owes high revving with AC ON)

my 2cents

Diagnostic is correct, but for excessive air con gas, drive fast not cold one, because pressure becomes too high.
Also dangerous can burst the hoses.... sad.gif

Hello brother, happy new year.
Your experience is valuable brother.

After few days monitoring, I found out that my engine start revved once I turn on the a/c. Is that mean my compressor become weak?

Could air-cond service solve the issue without a compressor replacement?
From your exp, how much the cost for compressor replacement?

Other than that. It seems the radiator fan runnings ok. But I don't know how to interprate compressor cut-off.

Fyi, My myvi now 6yrs 1month ady...The last I refill refrigerant was 2 yrs ago.

His first point of view after checking is compressor problem.

He remove the fuse near the battery and suddenly the weird sound went off.
His price:
New compressor - 780 / recon - 430(3mnth warr)
Gas - 60
Valve - 145
Vacuum oil - 25
Foc - air con belt & filter & manpower

So what do you think.

new oem compressor should be bout rm4xx normally.

but since the manpower etc is FOC, then it is Give n Take basis....

Bro. kenny,
Wah! If OE compressor is RM4xx only is cheap. My ride, even recon already cost more than that and my rare Sonata III is even worse. Original asked before is RM1300..... rclxub.gif

check the fan if spinning when comps kicks, so nothing wrong with the fan..only problem is we dont know how to check the speed, if the speed is not enuf, then engine and aircond will become hot together.

if refrigerant not enuf, u can see at the dryer sight glass no white bubble..

Well, it depends whether the car running on single or double fans?

For the sighting of the refrigerant, mine is when enough you can see clear liquid, if low then see bubbles. If cannot see anything no more refrigerant....

GUYS, i just wanna say thank you guys , EVERYBODY for sharing all these. Thank you Low Yat Forum for saving me a few hundred bucks each time my car gives me problems, all i hv to do is login here.

anyways, my a/cond case was it didn't cool once i'm driving over 90km/h. the reason was the gas pressure too high. One joker mechanic i know told me it's the damn temperature controller in the dashboard that spoilt. Would've cost RM300++. So i went to another and he fixed the gas problem and gave the radiator a good washing, all for only RM50
