Very unusually quiet in this thread. Everybody must be suffering from massive CNY and 1Malaysia holidays hangover. Anyway, just to report that iparcel seems to be improving lately. I received my buy from Amazon using iparcel last week after only 12 days!! This is a book and not BD but the process is the same. My last iparcel item came after 29 days so it is very inconsistent. Anyway, looks like there is still hope for those waiting for your BD sent by iparcel. Good luck!!

QUOTE(idesmond @ Mar 6 2012, 02:42 PM) Could anyone share with me the US exchange rate that the credit charges when making purchases at say.. Amazon? thanks As pointed out by others earlier, there is no fixed rate as the rate fluctuates day to day and each credit card bank uses diferent rates. For rough calculation to compare prices, use 1USD=3 RM as a rule of thumb. You can see the daily exchange rate in the newspapers. This post has been edited by ronaldkwok: Mar 7 2012, 07:33 AM

QUOTE(Maknusia @ Jun 20 2012, 11:56 PM) just get any branded player like, sony, samsung, LG, philips, etc. They are in the range of 3XX to 4XX most of it has region free for DVD and BD Region A From my experience with the entry level branded BD players, all of them are region locked to Region A for BD and Region 3 for DVD, except for the Sony (very surprisingly) that is region free for DVD. Correct me if I am wrong!

Back from a holiday in Perth and managed to checkout the retail BD scene there. Hope it is helpful for those on a short trip in Ozzie. Best selection seems to be in JB HiFi stores found in many shopping malls and in the city centre. Prices varies with titles and those on offer are worth considering like Jaws digibook at AUD20. Some selected titles on sale at 2 for AUD20 or AUD30. Best deal for me was the "buy one get one free" at AUD16, especially those double BD sets like Inception, Ben Hur and some Harry Porter films as each title count as one even if they are triple play. Another chain store with good selection is Sanity where selected BDs are 3 for AUD20 or AUD40. Just bear in mind, Australia is in Region B but many titles are region free. The best thing to do is pick up a BD player there and not have to worry about playability; you can then buy your BDs from Amazon UK or other European countries and not worry about the Region. I bought a LG BP120 for AUD90 from JB HiFi so any of you here having Region B BDs that you cannot play on your Region A machine, just PM me and I will relieve you of your agony. At no cost!

Oh, no! Giving away my BP120 would cause me great agony. And yes, the covers still have that Rating Label at the bottom left corner but that doesn't bother me. The BD casing is also thicker than the US ones, just like those from UK; info for those who are particular about size. Added on October 22, 2012, 7:34 amQUOTE(johnbluraylover @ Oct 22 2012, 07:25 AM) welcome to region b club, u will find it is really cheap for lots of uk titles Thanks. Cheap UK titles is the main reason for getting a Region B player; for a poor pensioner, every ringgit saved is a ringgit earned. Also, I do not mind the "nipples". Bond 50 is now available at USD99.99 from Amazon! This must be the best deal for the BF sale! Just ordered one set and hope there is no more price drop, otherwise
