iOS - Simplicity and smoothness with loads of apps.

Android - Good customization ability, many apps but not as many as iOS and not as smooth as it.

2nd hand SE xperia x10 or samsung galaxy S series. But I dun think the video recording is HD, not that sure but it's 720p

I heard G version got quite a number of issues, but forgot wat problem edi.

Why not play safe and get others? Got many in that range that suits your needs.

Many modems are Huawei branded, so it is an okay brand actually. Same goes to ZTE.

Desire HD is not really recommended as it is a huge battery sucker. At that budget, already can get Motorola atrix (maybe increase a bit) (many people dun think it will get official ICS update though) with dual core! LG optimus 2X is also good if u install custom firmware , dual core as well!

Bout 2x, some say it sucks on stock ROM...but some say it's ok...no lag..good. Now Im confused myself . So are u ready to flash to a custom firmware if u have probs with the stock 1?

Overall arc S still better.

Not really out of date yet, the original xperia arc without "S" also came around same time. It is still okay if u get incredible S. But if u don't mind other phones, u can state your usage and we can try to find the most suitable phone for u

-Can settle for single core? SE arc S is good but single core.

-If dual-core, LG optimus 2X suits u except for the bad camera.

-Motorola atrix, most likely not getting official ICS but should have unoffcial 1 though may void your warranty. This 1 got dual-core proc, average cam and audio. (May need to top up)

U mean u can still add another 1.5k after selling it? So if u sell it at 1k, your budget will be 2.5k? If yes, then u got many many choices but better wait for MWC announcements. If not, it's either those 2 or LG optimus 2X / Motorola atrix. But looks like the atrix is not gonna get ICS update, only atrix 2....not sure yet but should have ICS on custom ROM for atrix.

U can also try WP7. Nokia lumia 800?
