Need recommendation for a new hp for my dad. Which smart phone do u guys think is the best for a budget of say........below rm900 or 1k

Those normal usage- Web browsing, music etc etc
Probably a touchscreen would be good..

thanks for the recommendation. was looking into lumia800 as well. evo3d looks too big despite looking really tough on the outside. sensation and atrix seems nice.

seriously, now I'm really frustrate about thinking which phone suppose to buy.

Thanks guys, will definitely go for IP4S tomorrow, was abit tempted to try Android phones but with the all the technical stuffs with non-G and Gs, root, modding, firmware upgrade inconsistencies and app incompatibilies between the androids phone i'd better to stick with Apple phones as i'm also using other apple products at home. Hello, I need a recommendation for a phone :

1. Brand : Samsung, Nokia, HTC (no Iphone, no Huawei, no LG)
2. Budget : RM1000-RM1600
3. Specs : Depends. 
a) Android or Symbian is fine.
b) I need a phone that can display large font (I have problems reading small font). 
c) I want to be able to do video calls (via internet)
d) Good build quality (I drop my phones a lot).
e) Reasonably good battery life. I do a lot of travelling... not able to charge a phone twice a day
f) Memory expandable - use of Micro SD cards or whatever

4. Type/Size : Candybar or touchscreen or touch n type

I was looking at Samsung Galaxy phones and Sensation XL but still cannot decide.  Two salesmen (at two different shops) recommended the HTC Sensation XL over the Galaxy Note cos both of them said that the UI was smoother and less restart issues.  I can get either phone with my budget from DIGI store online.

Help, anyone?

are they lag free? or at least smooth enough to be pleasant?

To all those who made recommendations, thanks a lot.  It helped me make a shortlist before I went to the shops.

At first I targetted either SG Note or SG S2 or HTC Sensation XL under DIGI phone promotion but everywhere I went, they were out of stock. 

By the end of the day, I was dead-tired.  Found myself in SenQ and started chatting to the salesman.  SG Note and S2 also out of stock at SenQ BUT he had three units of HTC Sensation XL.  Original price RM2099 but with Maybank promotion, there was a discount of RM200.  PLUS I used Maybank card points to knock off another RM120.  And Maybank credit card 6 months instalment is interest-free!!

Now I'm very very happy ))  I absolutely like HTC Sense (makes it so easy to organise the phone apps) and the phone feels really good in my hand.
