thanks for the comment, it being awhile since the forum need some picture to brighten thing a bit

hehe well fan noise Db does not go with the rules or 1+1 = 2, so the noise is really not much of a problem for me.......a fan controller is coming soon, so no problem for me...... btw i the ceiling fan noise is louder then my PC, and i often on head phone......& i got a good price for the Vizo (i cant find other fans with these CFM yet quiet enough and bling)

hehe Doom, ur 8800GTS is really kicking, but still a bit short compare to irangan can push to 625 on the core...... down side i have to keep the fan at 90 ~ 100% with riva tuner to keep it cool down....

well one reason i get a staker because the amount of venting holes all around the units, so no worry about the intake and exhaust..... i have 5 fans configure as intake, 2 as exhaust only (filters cut down on intake dramatically) well the air flow balance goin to work if u using a tight casing like LL A05 or A10, or may be CM very own cosmo series....

the front panel is EL wires, but not very bright though....might be getting a CCFL to get things brighter a bit, how to use it just like routing wires around the side with tapes ....... very easy......

haha fancy stuff consume very little power only......a few watts extra thats all........

well its all up to personal taste, i dun like CCFL too that why i go for UV LED, much smoother......

Oh Doom, i was thinking of goin water cool but the cost is a killer for me...... cannot justify the extra cost i need to spend just to cool off 10oC

haha 17" too small, well just enough for me now, 22" or large coming soon just have not found the one to my liking yet......

thats why i never went for x2900XT haha......... i would wait for a cooler version......

speaking of mounting rad in a stacker 83x series is really a headache, only place suitable is the rear exhaust, or u can always mod a custom side panel that extended outside ur casing and put the rad there, there is room for 2 unit of 4x rad hehe......just a rough idea i scatch on paper..... may be i'll work on it and see how it goes

the fan noise is minimal for the evercool aluminum, the frame is steady enough to aborb most of the vibration, but sadly it's a big larger compare to other 120mm so mouniting may become problem for tight fitting spaces

140mm mana cukup...........go for 250mm hehe...........

well about the size i meant is the screw holes are the about same, no problem on that , but the frame itself is larger then standard plastic frame........ so most CM case have some sort rib or some beams might hinder the installtion..........

btw ALL IT also have some 140mm evercool fan, but black colour only and quite expensive around RM 50

the evercool aluminum fan is patented design by them............ btw the fan is relatively quite for a 2000RPM unit....... even slower Vizo are nosier compare to it...........

and once u got a LED light shin on it, it looks totally different

Some additonal pictures contribute for the thread hehe.......... rclxm9.gif

This is idea for stacker user, a creative method of mounting a middle fan, what soldam so call air flow assist system AFS or something......

well actually this is some idea come a while ago but never able to make it so easily until i disassemble the rear fan mounting bracket.....this can be done by using a spare PCI bracket and a few wires straps....... the end results is as shown......enjoy.....hehe

user posted image

Mobo mounted on, still a lot of space
user posted image

with graphic card and sound card install........ still a lot of space
user posted image

well initial test resut are good rclxm9.gif GC temp drop by a few more degrees....... hehe

but the bad side is cable management problem, only if stacker is as long as v1200 or a gigabyte, the extra length would come in handy..........

no need to remove all the pci bracket........i have another fan mounted on the side panel for exhaust......... more then enough. With this fan mouting i can cool the bottom of the card too effective lowering the temp, the NB and even PWM is benefited from this too. I was able to keep the PWM temp down from 48 ~ 51 to 40 ~ 43.

details steps i dun have picture, so i will have to "type" you through........ haha

1 u can take any of the plastic fan bracket of the stacker, a stand off screw for the mobo tray, a pci slot bracket and a few wires straps......

screw the pci bracket on the mobo tray, they are a lot of pre drill holes on it. then slot in the fan holder and strap it down....... u are done..... maggie mee time's for the job.........

but no suitable for all types of mobo due to the wires for the ide and sata might be blocking the way.......

not a bad choice, but the space is limited a bit......try to go have a look at the interior and molest it if possible.........u get a good idea whether it is suitable for u or not

btw just some continuation from my post above........got some time to do some cable management...and this is the final result......

user posted image

out looks about the same no difference except have to remount the Lian Li EX 33 to fit the new fan due to limted space,

side view, a bit more lighting effect inside now haha......
user posted image

another side view, where u can clearly see the fan placement. Sorry about the leg there, hopefully not too ugly. wub.gif

as u can see, the mobo tray after slide in the space behind the rom and mobo tray is very limited, ,this is where LL v1200, v2000 excels. Still got some cacing to settle, that the bad thing about older Silverstone PSU, cable not fully sleeve ! shakehead.gif

well initial test result with my very own Supremecommander reply under speed is good, max temp remain under 62oC. NB, SB and even the PWM has benefited from it as well......quad core is really stressing out the PWMs a bit hehe

And somehow, may be due to change or proc or better cooling, the game went smoother;

Still under testing progress but initial got some artifacts, but temp very good though all time below 63 at max loading hehe....

so casing with long mobo tray, u can try that too........see how good it does for ur GPU

thx for the info cstkl1........ good idea too inverting the HDD cage...... may be i'll try that. Finally got a chance to see ur blackbird in action, wander is HP-Voodoo's version envy of urs or not hehe

anyway i have no need for so many hdd case, & LL cage is rather costly hehe.....but i still have 2 pieces of 5.25" device i have no yet install, that why i left the top portion empty......whos knows may be i'll try the inverted hdd cage idea.....

cstkl1 the LCD post on ur is it from the mobo ?? Asus own LCD post ?? looks cool. i want to see the inside too.......and i love the blue color, it not like LED 1..... or does it have to do with the yellow background colour

hoho thx for the tip for cable arrangement.....will try that when i have the mood to give it some touch up

dust no problem for me so far..... the filters are working very good.....i really on the side panel fan for exhaust and cooling the rams and mobo.... just need to clean the filter on monthly basis

the reason i dun want Vizo or Silverstone hdd cage because went i need to took out the hdd i need to disasseamble the entire hdd cage. LL 1 i just need to take the HDD out...... well inverting it would be a good idea i can take the hdd out at the front haha...

ok saw already............... need to see the frame only know, the rotor itself cant tell much as it blur by the blue lighting effects.........

well i guess it should give u considerable improvement on temperature with such power exhaust

got some minor difference inside the with the newer Evo version...... bottom mesh, + wheels and longer PSU mouting.......

seriously the bottom mesh really make some trouble for dust....

stacker got 2 really big problem......casing is too short inside......mobo tray take out all the space already....and the HDD module....hassle to install and remove
