noob question indeed, but this is my 1st auto car.

Yes. Especially when you need extra power, so you can downshift.

Any modifications that alter the OEM spec bro.. So, basicly all...  vmad.gif

Bawa bertenang.... laugh.gif

TBH, I quite like the OEM body roll. Not too bad, although admittedly previously driven Waja through Karak is a much better experience. Anyway, the car handles pretty well, the acceleration and pick up is always there when you need it, and the much-debated seat hugs me comfortably during cornering.

That's why I kinda think twice whether to install or not, because the system is almost perfect for me. laugh.gif

Actually, it helps when you park your car in up slope or down slope. Meaning, not only you get the steering locked, it also prevents the car from going downhill. SOS = manual. laugh.gif

But if it's tanah rata, kinda awkward I guess. Since the electrical supply is not there, sure damn hard to turn the steering. sweat.gif

Hey guy, i would like to ask if any myvi 1.5 manual users are facing the same problem as mine... so far 2 months old....

1st problem - Gear knob vibrate when speed up above 110km and it produce some sound like something is loose (sounds like a ring vibrating above a metal plate  sad.gif  sad.gif  sad.gif  rclxub.gif  rclxub.gif )
2nd problem - There is tek tek sound coming out from the audio player at the speed above 110km...but when i press it then it disappear...i believe something inside is loose.
3th problem - the radio reception is damn bad....always got buzz buzz sound.....even my old car dun have it along the same road.

Pls share your problem too....
*
1st: Yes, it vibrates a little but no sound. It vibrates because the stick is very tall. I drove manual Waja before and the stick vibrate less than Myvi's because it is very short.

2nd: Better check with SC.

3rd: Sometimes it may tends to receive weak signal, but most of the time it's ok.

2nd prob: Having this prob also. mine 1.5 auto. but im not sure the sound from speaker or my door, coz i heard it more likely from the door. same goes to my friends extreme, also got trek2 sound. gonna check after my 1st service.
3nd prob: also same to me. but i guess its not happen to myvi, my friend's satria neo also the same. so for me, prefer playing audio via usb. And happy now coz Sandisk got new small pendrive called Cruzer® Fit™ USB Flash Drive which upto 16gb storage  icon_idea.gif
So far petronas makes me happy =)
*
Does it fit the USB slot nicely until we can put the rubber cover back on? Coz I too also considering the Cruzer Fit, but after seeing it on the shelf, seems can't fit. Might as well buy normal-sized pendrive. laugh.gif

QUOTE(V12Kompressor @ Feb 8 2012, 09:54 AM)
Although both cars the price bracket is quite huge, that doesn't mean the Fiesta is a better car. In terms of driving comfort and smoothness, the Myvi is easily better than the Fiesta. A dual clutch might do wonders on a race track, but in a city drive, it is a pain in the ass to drive. It will keep on lurch and jerk and also in gear hunting mode, couldn't decide on which gear it should stay on.
Since when I even touch about resale value? Not to mention when resale value is the second of my least concern after FC in owning a car.
*
Agreed... nod.gif

Thanks for all the honest replies guys. I'm actually comparing the 1.5 Myvi SE to the 1.6 Fiesta S.

Price difference is about Rm25k, just wondering what will the Rm25k brings to you. If it's just the same then I'd rather save the money and get the Myvi.

If the fiesta is better all around, I'll get the Fiesta.
*
I too am considering the Fiesta S before this. But it's hard to resist a better value for money. smile.gif

p/s: I took 3 months to decide. Lots of research and case studies involved. laugh.gif

Is Fiesta trunk space greater than MyVi.?
*
Can't really remember. Because trunk space is not my top concern. laugh.gif

QUOTE(SinnerBuyer @ Feb 8 2012, 04:59 PM)
Yeah, totally understood with the energy can't be destroyed. Therefore we can say that at high speed, FC of an 1.5L is lower than 1.3L theoretically. And vice versa for city drive.
*
Just compare 1.3's Fuelly with 1.5's Fuelly.. That will give you general FC figures..

2. Practicality
2. Build quality
3. Performance that's enough for national speed limit and city driving

59. Price

Looks like car selection menu in NFS.. thumbup.gif Oh wait, it's the final boss's car that you have to defeat! biggrin.gif

QUOTE(FaezFarhan @ Feb 9 2012, 04:35 AM)
The new Myvi's build quality is better than the Fiesta S? Which one is better on acceleration?

Fiesta should be better on the handling too right? Much better or you can't feel it?
*
I like the more bucket-ty seat of Fiesta, but Myvi's not too bad also. Overall, I can say it's pretty much the same. I knock-knock here, rub-rub2 there, kinda same feel.

Acceleration? Mind you I'm looking for a car that can deliver up to national speed limit, and probably just a little over. You may have heard, that twin-clutch tranny might do wonders on track, but try to drive it in crawling traffic at Tol Jalan Duta @ 9AM. I'm fine enough to storm through the traffic using stick shifter.

Why not Fiesta 1.4HB 5MT? I kinda feel ripped-off by SDAC with that puny package for a premium price. Honestly. nod.gif
