Finally I went to get my new car today.  rclxm9.gif Drove it around the neighbourhood for a bit, with my uncle beside me lolz...because it's been a long time since I drove, despite the fact that I got my license for 5 yrs already.

What is this BZL40 that I keep seeing on Perodua cars - the ECU model or something?

QUOTE(revolnia @ Feb 12 2012, 09:20 PM)
Hi. I ordered  Myvi SE 1.5 AT (white) last year with normal radio (not the touch screen). Till now haven't got any news about my car.

The seller said (my cousin), the new myvi 1.5 se with normal radio is still not in production yet. Perodua want to finish up the myvi with touch screen first and then proceed to the normal radio.

Is it true? My cousin promised me that I will get my car this February. Then suddenly he said, maybe gonna get in March. Then dunno la what he's gonna say next.

Any comment?
*
Last year? I feel you man - I ordered my 1.5 SE Manual a week before CNY and until now there's still no sign or definite date. Made calls to my SA and all he could say it to wait another month or two. What he said in his defence was that Myvi production lines were taken up by the Alza SR. Seriously? The Myvi is their top seller - and they halted production for a stripped down version of a current car?

If you can't keep a promise, don't make one.

If it's similar on how Toyota handles their cars, they're more than able to pull stocks from dealers which aren't making much sales - but IMHO they're just lazy to bear the transportation costs and hassle, which they will wait for the next batch which honestly, looks real long to come sad.gif

Motors Confidence, at Taman Bahagia PJ.

QUOTE(megat89 @ Feb 12 2012, 10:27 PM)
seriously?..i ordered last year around december..january before CNY i got my car..the long wait was because of the bank..not because of the stock..even my SA dont care about the color i choose..since got so many stocks..he said if this branch dont have the stock, they can just request it from another branch..
*
I had my loan approved two weeks back - and that's exactly the point. How is it possible that they can't even find stock at all?

Based on P2's website, MC is a dealer, not Perodua Sales Sdn. Bhd. branch, so most probably they are waiting for car allocation from HQ Rawang. They can't simply take cars from another dealer just like that. It's like stealing other dealer's sale. If it's PSSB branch, then they can kawtim between them.

This is what SA told me. If she kelentong me, then I kelentong you guys also. laugh.gif
*
That definitely isn't good. And this is also a good reason why one shouldn't go to a dealer - no priority at all sad.gif

Would I be able to transfer my purchase to a PSSB branch in this case? After all, it's between the customer and Perodua - being a dealer or a branch is none of the customer's concern anyway.

I think someone attached the photo 2-3 pages back - looks similar to those wire/cable routing tubes. But I scared those pipes easily crack or melt under the heat - I think I'll find myself those gas pipes, the ones you pasang onto your gas cylinder in your kitchen, and a pipe ring clamp, sure tahan lasak laugh.gif

Not sure if it can fit the Myvi's steering wheel, and the keyhole is exposed to the front - making it easy to destroy the tubular lock.

This may be a deterrent but would not prevent. Anyone pro who is determine could just either remove & replace the steering wheel or just apply some acid into the steering lock's key hole & there goes the steering lock....
*
Then again, any thief with the right amount of determination and time would be able to drive away your car. It's just that we shouldn't rely on security measures which has a single weak link.

QUOTE(SinnerBuyer @ Feb 14 2012, 04:00 PM)
Can just lock the steering from inside out?
*
Not sure if it's possible, but the dashboard and steering column would most likely be in the way.

Heh, come to think of the height of the armrest, it does will create some blockage to hand to access the handbrake. Although it's not that we need to pull that everytime, but hmmm... hmm.gif
*
Depending if you're on AT or MT - the armrest would likely be used by your passenger laugh.gif

FYI, myvi's tint is not a layer of tint. The glass itself is already UV filter. Meaning during the process of making the glass, it mixed with UV filter materials. So it is not removable.
IINM the Myvi Extreme has a factory tint.

After reading a bit on tints, there's much more to a tint than meets the eye - TSER, lifespan, hybrid/metallic composition, there's even load whether if it is capable of maintaining its TSER IINM. Probably cheaper tints are skimping on these not-well-known variables.

ONE more thing ....check your fuel pedal .....behind it has sumthing like welding spot that unable us to tekan habis....also alza have a polistrin ( kotak ikan ) inside the base just beneath the pedal.....

if kaki laju ...sure frust ......coz kenot tekan abis.........

*
For once I thought the Myvi has auto-blip laugh.gif

Anyway, about the throttle pedal - the Alza has this problem? There's actually something which is blocking the pedal so you can't accelerate faster?

laugh.gif

Since the Myvi's throttle is drive by wire, there's no difference if you flat down the pedal more than it can if the throttle position monitored by the ECU is already at max. There might be 'hidden' potential - but it's so much easier to retard it by altering the ECU settings rather than doing it physically.

I hated my Avanza - the ETC seems to only have three modes - pressing gas, pressing more gas at 1/2, and kickdown on full floor laugh.gif The throttle pedal position in between any of these modes would not do anything except staying in gear longer than it should.

QUOTE(matmoto5125 @ Feb 17 2012, 08:10 AM)
I thought it was some sort of SynchroRev just like those in 370Z. laugh.gif

But it was quite convenient though. Downshift from 4th to 3rd, the moment you free-ed (N) up the gear for a moment, rev stays 1.5k-1.8k, then just slot the 3rd gear, voila! No down-shift 'jerk'. tongue.gif

Doesn't bother me much. biggrin.gif
*
Especially if it's for double clutching for heel-and-toe, less gas to blip laugh.gif

next service want to ask the technician if can set the side mirror, whenever engine start it flip out..then engine off it auto flip in, without pressing the button. I  think its cooler  drool.gif

Turn key to ACC and the two mirrors flip out biggrin.gif

But kinda dangerous lah. If you're doing parallel parking on a tight road, tiba-tiba someone was passing right at your side and the mirror flips open, you can guess what happens next.

Even if you park your car with the front or back against the curb, and someone parks really close to your side after that, knock. sweat.gif

1) I didn't take the EWP. SA also didn't brief me how to take EWP. Maybe not necessary. laugh.gif
2) I'm using Cool World. 82% IRR, VLT is JPJ-compliant. 7 years warranty. Highly recommended. nod.gif
3) I just drive according to my driving pattern. Go through all the gears even when you wanna speed up to 60km/h. Max speed = 100km/h. Max RPM = 2.7k. rclxms.gif

As for the krok-krok when you slowly unpress the brake, I think there's nothing to be scared of. I drive Waja also sound like that when turun bukit slow2 kt simpang sambil tgk kiri kanan. Drive kancil also like that. Drive BMW also like that..
*
The krok-krok sound is normal - not sure where I read it before, but mostly every car has it.
