Very unlikely that you are able to win the case as the petrol station has already labelled the petrol type, albeit a small one. I don't think there is any standardized colors for R95 and R97, and all of them are put at the petrol station own discretion.
If you are able to refund the petrol, you can fight for a refund. But the petrol already in your car, how on earth are u going to return it to petronas? Its like crying foul when someone who pump petrol for the first in their life pumped diesel into your gasoline engine car. Your best bet is to ask the station manager nicely, maybe you'll get some petronas voucher as compensation...but dont expect much. To be safe, instead of looking at color or ron labels, look at the PRICE per liter. p/s: I made this mistaken myself a few time before, so i always take note of the price before i lift the pump up This post has been edited by SnoWFisH: Dec 27 2011, 05:48 PM |

Petronas didn't cheat you. You accidentally pump Ron 97. If you pump Ron 95 but paid Ron 97 then youre considered cheated. However, how often do we know the difference unless you drive a turbo car?
