This morning, i drove my car to petrol station to pump petrol. When i drove it the time, i just took the empty lane without "CAREFULLY" looking into small little sign that showing RON97. When i lift the gun and start pumping petrol, i realise that the amount is RM2.7 something /litre.

Goozz.. Unfortunately, i already start pumping...

Can i complaint this to Consumer Department as they should put some colour coding on the petrol pump to actually shown the different grade like Shell?

Or this is Bolehland as our royal gangster also like to hide in the bush to snap the photo of car speeding.

It is differentiated by Yellow for RON 95 and Green for RON 97 and Black for Diesel for all petrol stations. You don't need to look for the small little sign. If you have been cheated by being charged RON 97 price on a YELLOW RON 95 pump, then you can submit the picture for your complain. Otherwise I would most likely guess that you did not notice the distinctively different yellow and green pumps.

so sad.
can you can try and complain, and the money you spend and waste trying to get compensation will be more than the cost of the Ron 97. and you will still not win.

Its very hard to find Ron 97 these days, because most of the pumps will be Ron 95. And I believe all petronas pumps will have yellow.

And, even before you pump, it already states on the LED board 1.9/litre or 2.8/litre.

Just learn your lesson and move along.

The one with the KFC? I'm sure that one is not all green as stated by you as it is one of the largest and busiest Petronas Stations. I'm sure one of the members here can do a swing by and verify that.

how to defend yourself? you mentioned:

"i just took the empty lane without "CAREFULLY" looking into small little sign that showing RON97."

and when you pick up the pump, the lcd screen already display rm2.70

so that station already did its job...

and, for those familiar with petronas, green pump is already meant for ron97. if i'm not mistaken, shell colour code is also the same..

I always look for the price instead of colour......

But as far as i know Petronas is using yellow for 95...Shell also the same expect for Vpower which is red.

Or you can choose those individual pumps which has 95 only...my place Petronas got this single pump ones...which delivers only 95
