According to this article: http://www.theedgeproperty.com/news-a-view...ale-malls-.html

GM Robertson, which is expected to be completed in 2018, will be located in the transport hub near Plaza Rakyat with connections to Warisan Tower, which is close to the Bukit Bintang area. Both Lim and Chow are confident a lot of the people taking public transport will visit the wholesale mall.

According to Chow, GM Robertson will cater for the mid and mid-high market and focus on fashion with Gamuda and TSI putting together an appropriate tenant mix.

“South Korea and Japan have a lot of wholesale centres with strong emphasis on fashion. Our strategy is to bring in wholesale fashion items so that people don’t have to fly to South Korea or Japan, but come here instead.”

Should be mid to mid high end. My bad.

sound it caters more for traders than leisure shoppers. I would rather have a regular retail mall.

Since GM is managing the mall.. ppl shld know tht d klang gm is doing well but the products sold are really low quality/cheap stuff (been inside once only to analyze n hear from malay staff/maid etc).. The shopper demographics are mainly meleis n foreigners who come from really far places like setapak to shop thr. Im nt buying d story tht gm robertson will bring in mid to mid high end brands as i cnt imagine any mid end brands selling wholesale.

Phase 1 buyers still very very good deal. phase 2 pricing really not feasible with wholesale mall downstairs.. some failed malls/cheap product malls cn bring down the value of d condo IMHO  cry.gif  cry.gif

they should really learn from mammoth empire , they really good injecting wow factors to their mall and not fearful of the mall competition in the surrounding area notworthy.gif

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 27, 2015:
Kuala Lumpur City Hall’s (DBKL) project to turn Jalan Alor in Bukit Bintang into a food haven will begin in June or July this year, according to KL Mayor Datuk Seri Ahmad Phesal Talib.
He said this after the quarterly meeting with KL MPs at Menara DBKL here today. He said the city council had made arrangement with traders and it is now in its final stage.
“We have engaged them (traders) and they have agreed to the project. At the moment, we are in the final stages of the design and construction will start around June or July this year.
“We already have the RM12 million allocation, maybe more, and we hope it would be completed by next year.
According to him, during the day the road would be use for vehicles and at night it would turn into a “vibrant place for street food in KL”.
In August 2013, three months after the 13th General Election, the government announced that they will revamp Jalan Alor and turn it into a food hub and give it a cleaner and nicer look.

However, the project has been postponed several times.

The proposed BBCC will include a 2,500-capacity live event hall under Sony’s Zepp branding as its entertainment component. Zepp is a subsidiary of Sony Music Entertainment (Japan) Inc.
