Sifu, very nice job leh, didn't know driftwood+moss in a small tank can be quite nice. Can I curi your aquascaping idea a bit? Btw, what soil did you use? Java moss don't need CO2?
Neocaridina Shrimp, cherry, fire red, yellow, snow....etc

I have some spot green algae (?) on my tank wall, some patches of green stuff. Does Amano shrimp also eat this type of algae?

oh wtf 2 of my amano shrimps just disappeared without a trace. No body no nothing. I have 5 initially with 3 glofish.
I don't think the glofish ate the shrimps right?? Since I fed them once today. But the shrimps I didn't feed them any food....and also since yesterday night my entire tank is cleared of algae already. Cannibalism??? |

QUOTE(sniper on the roof @ Jul 16 2013, 11:16 AM) Can you guys post some pics of your tank? Looking for some inspiration for shrimp tank Mk.II. Mine is Iwugami setup Does it make sense to use shrimp sand for the tank but with a section using (around 1/4 footprint of the tank) using substrates for suitable for plants? |

QUOTE(sniper on the roof @ Jul 16 2013, 05:27 PM) Hmmm... I think I wanna go for a pseudo-iwagumi tank too. The current setup (besides the sad fact that its been gassed in violation of the geneva convention) is a biatch to trim and remove stuff. Actually I think your previous aquascape using the driftwood is very nice lor You can take a look here |

QUOTE(arrow @ Jul 16 2013, 05:47 PM) The fish bully your yamato ? by right , yamato like to stroll around unless somethings like ammonia force them to hide. 2 of my shrimps really went missing liao. Totally can't find them. I checked my room everywhere can't find them. Or unless, cannibalism? I encounter before during my noob time, ADA soil leeching ammonia , all yamato(15 of them) all stay behind rock or decor. All death after 2 weeks. |

QUOTE(lily64my @ Jul 19 2013, 11:35 AM) I have the 11kw lighting 24/7 for my moss but dnt hve co2 cause only have cherry/red and yamato on one tank. So far Moss growing well. Glosso will NOT survive without good supply of CO2.Btw, your 24/7 lighting will definitely introduce hair algae (and with low CO2) This post has been edited by -kytz-: Jul 19 2013, 12:03 PM |

QUOTE(arrow @ Jul 21 2013, 10:22 AM) How often your office doing maintenance? since your tank is small. Remove 50% water and try to bring them home next time. You may add in some Boraras brigittae fish in it. They make good shrimps companion. They won't touch your Shrimplet even smaller palmata baby. Bro, that Boraras brigittae can keep in my 2.5 gallon planted tank? Possible to get like 1 or 2 only? Or else can recommend other type of fish to accompany my amano shrimps |
