For crs you have use soil that able to buffer and maintain ph at 6.0 ~ 6.5, so you have to use benibachi fulvic soil, one bag 9l is enough for your 2ft tank. Depend on your budget , a high tech full benibachi setup for crs will cost around 700++ ~ 800++ excluding the tank, filter, light and chiller, but this will have a very high % rate of keeping/breeding crs upto high grade type.
A normal essential benibachi setup will cost at least rm300++.
Hardy shrimps nowdays are cherry and palmata variants shrimps, neocaridina palmata variants is marvelous shrimps that will produce different color offspring like red, green, chocolate, black and blue, it is like malayan shrimps , just malayan changing color , palmata is permanent colored to what they are born with.
You may ask where to get palmata, actually they are sold under different name like blueberry, black chocolate, chocolate and indian zebra shrimps, price vary from rm5 to rm20 depend how the supplier and lfs market them. Color like full black , chocolate and blue will fetch a higher price.
Some ppl even falsely sell them as pure chocolate shrimps.
